The miserable man in the post office paid me £100 too much once when I was drawing some savings out, I told hm and he argued with me..I should have left it at that and took the extra, but I convinced hm to recount.
Miserable sod never even thanked me, just gave me a filthy look as reward.

I was using a vending machine in a spa, and I bought a drink and a chocolate bar and when I clicked the change button, 50 euros fell out, that's about 35 pounds...

I found £360 in a purse once in a shopping trolley ,I handed it in at a police station,it was returned to the owner.Never even got a thankyou.

Many years ago i found £70 outside the post office. Handed it in, 5 weeks later i got a reward :bigsmile:

We were on holiday in Africa and I noticed something at the bottom of the swimming pool. I dived in and came up with a note that was worth about £2. My parents (I was 10 at the time) congratulated me and told me to go and buy myself an ice cream. That evening a storm blew up whilst we were sitting outside and out of the corner of my eye I saw something role under a bush to my right. When I looked I discovered it was a big role of dollars. I rushed over to my parents with a big grin on my face but my parents whipped it off me and started to count it... it was $500. They then had the dilemma of what to do with it. Just about everything is corrupt over there and if they handed it in, it would just go in someone's pocket. They have always told me that they gave the money away charitably but I suspect they pocketed it themselves because I have no memory of them giving it to those more deserving but I do remember spending a luxurious last few days in Africa.
