Just seen stuart & Deans tea bag bin on Richard & Judy.A bit of attention for them at last,also both Richard & judy said what a good idea.
Now if Richard & Judy said it was good everyone should want one:laugh::laugh:
They showed a really nice pic of Stuart & Dean aswell.
I do hope it does well for them:thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:
That's brilliant Rachb, I really hope that this succeeds for them as well. :thumbs:
Missed it! :bawling: Thanks for letting us know, rachb.
Great to see Dean and Stuart getting more publicity for their Tea Bag Bin. It's an excellent idea, and I hope they do really well with it. :thumbs:

Any one got a tea bag bin yet?

I think it's a really pathetic idea. You only have to empty the thing in the bin eventually anyway. It was in the BB house and nobody used it!!!

This gadget could be a success. You never know. The people who invented the Tetrapack milk carton made billions of smackeroos. :hugesmile:

I BOUGHT ONE TODAY (well actually two - one for home and one for work - might encourage people to be a little less messy)
I've christened it too.. Little tip I've lined mine with a plastic sandwich bag - when its full you just lift the bag out and replace and it doesnt mess the actual bin.
Hint of genius there I think:spin::spin::spin::spin:

Hi All
Dean and I have just been reading your posts, thank you for your comments.
Richard and Judy on Thursday has really helped and Judy has now got one for her kitchen.
We do have a stand at the ideal home Exhibition stand 553F and we were there last week. We are also planning a number of days at the stand so if you go speak to Neil who is running our diaries.
Check out http://www.teabagbin.com we have re-launched the site and it would be great to get your feedback.
See ya
Stuart x
PS - great idea re the plastic bag

Hi Stuart, Hi Dean thanks for popping in.
You always knew you were sure of a few sales = just mention it to us lot and we'll be there.:thumbs:
Glad you like the plastic bag idea - I do have useful ideas now and again.
Best of luck
Hi Dean and Stuart :wavey:
Nice to see you again.
I'm really glad that your idea is starting to take off and I was pleased to see that the Tea Bag Bin is the number one best seller at Sharper Edge at the mo :thumbs:
I've ordered mine :hugesmile:
I've had a look at the new site as well and it's looking good.
My Tea Bag Bin arrived this morning, and it is now sitting proudly in my kitchen, complete with small plastic bag inside (thanks Val).
Just off to make my first cup of tea of the day to christen it. :hugesmile:

That was quick Lee (unlike some things in life....)
Tell me, when you have christened it, please let me know..........
Does it have a draining/squeezing facility, or is it just a container with a spring-loaded lid?
The only thing that has stopped me so far is the fear that I am buying something I could use an empty yogurt carton for (complete with sticky-backed plastic, of course!).
OH's concern is that it's
'Something else to clutter up the ***** kitchen with'.
Consumer report, please!
PS Dare I say, ...avatar??? And no, not of the tea bag tin! :laugh:
Whoops sorry ROB, I completely forgot about your avatar, but have just now done it for you :hugesmile:
Any excuse to put off starting work for a bit longer. :laugh:
I still haven't made that cup of tea, cos the phone went and I got distracted. I will be back later with a full consumer report though :thumbs:

I'll get in with my consumer report first. Bought one for our dept's kitchen in work and took in to-day. Got a few "What the hell is that for" Then "Oh, that's a good idea I'm fed up of having to wipe up all the drips".
In fact I've had a few enquiries about where to get one. Think I'll ask Stuart for a bit of commission.
:hugesmile::hugesmile:
Had a quick look just now and it has been well used - nice and full - all ready to empty.
No-one has yet picked up on where it came from or any BB connection. I'm dreading it when they do:shocked::shocked::shocked:
You probably could use a yogurt pot, but it looks quite stylish on the worktop even if it is made of plastic. Wonder if they had any input from a certain young designer?
Not sure how long the spring loaded top will work for though, quite ingenious.

This is the inside of the top, indicating that it uses a kind of metal spring

After a week's intensive trial at work I can report that the teabagbin has been an unmitigated success:thumbs::thumbs:
Despite a few unenthusiastic comments at the beginning of the week by Friday the unbelievers were starting to be won over. The comments that have been made about not having to wipe up the tea drips off the work surfaces and floor have been many.
The bin has been emptied several times and thanks to someone's ingenious idea of using a plastic bin line (cant think who that was:joker::joker:) the bin and the surrounding areas have stayed clean and dry.
In fact it was so popular I even told several people where to buy one. That was my downfall because
NOW I'VE BEEN RUMBLED
When I got into work this morning there was a big sign on the kitchen wall with a print out of the home page off the site. Underneath was written.
OUR BIG BROTHER FAN STRIKES AGAIN
Did you wonder about the arrival of the teabagbin - well wonder no more. It was bought by our mad PA because it is marketed by 2 of the ex Big Brother 2 housemates.
No not the two she goes on and on and on and on about (we'd have had 12 if it had been them) but some others.
What will she buy next.
:blush::blush::blush::blush::blush:
I have been the butt of jokes all day, but I am strong, I can take it - wait til they find out Helen is on Banzai and I'm gonna tape it.:blush::blush:

There was an interview with Stuart on Dean on this morning's Classic Gold from the Ideal Homes Exhibition.
Nothing too exciting, just general chat with Dean saying the worst thing about the house was going in and the best coming out.
He also said it had been a fantastic experience and was worth it for all the friends he made. But they both said they were not prepared for all the press coverage when they came out. They had no idea so many people had been watching.
Stuart also said that his winking started after he saw a cameraman fall over through one of the mirrors and winked at him which was picked up by the psychologists.
They went on to say how Dean thought up the idea of the bin and how it worked and how to get it.
Nothing too spectacular but nice to hear their voices once again.

Great news!!:dance::dance:
My OH suggested last night that we get one of those "teabag bin things" he'd seen briefly on Celeb BB as he thought it was a good idea. Obviously I agreed and have since ordered said item.:laugh::laugh:
He has NO IDEA!!!!!!:colour::colour:

I actually saw them on sale in February in Robert Dyas in Guildford @ £4.99.:thumbs:
It did say "As seen on Big Brother" so I assume it was the original and not a clone.
I didn't get one myself because I use a tea pot.
