Is Danny jealous of Cristian?

Ever since common enemy Marc's eviction, Danny has barely been able to conceal his green eyed contempt towards Cristian, telling him to shut up, speaks to him as he's a non entity. Danny really started the 'Cristian is greedy' theme, calling him thick, dismissing him, sniggering at him behind his back, bitching. Danny has real issues towards the wannabe rapper and a lot of it stems from jealousy imo. Danny was in his element in week #1 when he beat Cristian in arm wrestling and was voted best looking male in viewer poll, Cristian wasn't even an option for the hms to pick. Danny has this look when he sees Cristian, hard to describe but it reeks of jealousy and irritation. You normally see female hms get jealous of each other but apart from Luke A against Luke Shaw this doesn't usually happen to males.


Danny has already confessed he's insecure about his physique, yet a few days ago he criticised /mocked Cristian's body type, he told Cristian he can pull the best girls with his slim frame, when Cristian was confidently walking about top less. Mr Canoe called the UCL student thick over seeing the moon, "it's the sun", inconsiderate over moving pans after someone has done the washing up. It feels like Danny wants to be the house hunk, and wasn't expecting another good looking guy, not one almost a decade younger. Danny is like a clapped out embittered drag Queen who hates the fresher newbies on Drag Race.

Nobody liked christian along with adjoa he was the most nominated HM and only jacks pass saved him from nomination in those early weeks, danny in particular didnt like him much as his pal sarah didnt like him.

Danny never really liked Joel, Jade or Chloe especially either... it was only when all his mates got removed in like 1 week that he got them all on side to protect himself from the new 4, and fair play to the thuggish twat he managed it.

Hes in final now doesnt need christian anymore, can go back to disliking him... they are all a bunch of turncoats and/or idiots with selective memories

Regardless of my likes/dislikes, the dynamic that is playing out with these 2 is simple. Danny sees Cristian as someone who can beat him. Danny wants to be the alpha male, the most desired man in the house and the one with the final say. Ever since Cristian came out of his coma and his personality has shown more (again, whether you like or dislike him) Danny has been very short tempered. I wish Cristian would just lose his **** once and tell Danny to F off. But the young lad seems to have far more class than angry Danny. Good on Cristian.

When Marc got people to get out of their shells, Cristian has shown more personality and speaking his own mind more. In doing so Danny feels threatened because Cristian may have a better chance to win this than him. Hence Danny's asshole level going to level 10.

But don't you think if someone interrupts someone else when they are speaking that it is bad manners and ill bred and rude ?...some of those people in there constantly shout over people when they are talking...Chloe, Helen, Jack especially...they have no manners....i would tell them to shut up, they don't deserve respect...

Cristian pushing back and NOT losing his temper has been awesome. It's funny because earlier in the show many of them talked about the ones who were selfish in the house and Cristian's name was always coming up because of food consumption. In discussions and debates, Cristian is far more respectful. Has Danny ever been respectful in an argument? Danny is incapable of agreeing to disagree.

He also does it all the time. My issue with it is there are much more effective and less aggressive ways to diffuse an argument if you disagree with the other person. He could a) wait for a gap and explain sensibly what his point is, or b) walk away. The issue is, he doesn't have the vocabulary or intelligence required to do either of these things. He's a thug who is incapable of taking other people's opinions into account, and thus just starts shouting SHUUUUT UUUUPPPP when he runs out of worthwhile things to say. Similar to Helen, actually.

I agree with you completely. He kept baiting Marc expecting him to bite and when he didn't Danny couldn't keep his aggression under control. Amusing as I think Marc was doing the same thing but in a more intelligent way

That is one of my favourite things about Cristian. He keeps calm in most situations (though his snap at Sam the other day was uncalled for). But I do wish he would one time just put Danny in his place :laugh: it sometimes comes across as being too scared to speak up.

He just doesn't feel the need to scream and shout to get his point across. I have only seen him snap at Sam. Most of the time he's perfectly in control. Amazing for someone so young.

As the show has progressed my thoughts on the two have reversed. I now like Cristian more so than Danny.

The markets suggest that Cristian will not win but Danny will not know this and likewise his own current fall from grace.So I wonder if Danny still thinks he will win and views Cristian as a real danger and hence the increased attempts to make him look bad.?

Cristian wasnt given a chance right from the start, Sarah was the one that started it all off then things seemed to get worse from there. He seemed to go more into his shell and very rarely spoke up. Danny has never been Cristians friend. I remember Danny bitching about Cristian when Marc was in, he thought Cristian was spending too much time with Marc yet no one else hardly bothered with Cristian. Danny also told Marc Cristian was too sensitive and took things to heart.
I personally dont think he has ever been allowed to a voice and when he has he has been labled something to shut him up.
Recently Cristian annoyed Danny because in the cash bomb Cristian said Danny couldnt be as nice as he comes across as nobody is but the the public said Danny was.
