Well she is a criminal born and bred, what with her dad being a convicted drug baron.
I am sure her ability to afford BMWs, £300 shoes and Dubai holidays, and her dad making millions from drugs are entirely coincidental.

The showing off of wealth has nothing to do with real wealth. Louid Vuitton and Jimmy Choo rely on the working class for 80% of their sales. Nobody with real wealth would show a picture of designer shoes or have half a dozen pictures of themselves in Dubai with the most expensive hotel in the world as a backdrop.
From viewing those pictures, I would say that Chloe is aspirational and has a need to portray herself as classy. She's just a working class girl surrounded by other impressionable people.
Edited to say, its no more expensive to go to Dubai than it is to go to Majorca, providing of course, you don't stay in the most expensive hotel!!

well working class implies that you work.........
Maybe she should have put her head into Sam or Harry's face in an aggresive manner and called them *******ing muppets and then threw a sandwich at them, that may have gained her some support.
It worked for pretty boy Danny.

I have no idea but the fact that she was able to get a mortgage shows she probably was able to prove to them that she could afford the repayments. I don't even like Chloe either, it's just stupid saying that working class people can't afford to go on holiday or buy nice stuff for themselves :/

Nobody has said that.
But how many people in the working class areas of Doncaster have bmws, 300 quid shoes and dubai holidays?
But she claimed to be in a position where 5 grand would "change her life."
And?
5 grand may be enough to pay off a decent chunk of her mortgage she's 26 so could have been paying it for a few years? or something else she makes repayments too
And she does work, she said 5 grand was 5 months wages to her..

Now that just sounds desperate, you really should get the proof before you make such sweeping statements. Really not getting the over the top hate here.
Anyway Im judging her on her behaviour in the house, which really hasnt been any worse than of the other housemates, and in some cases has (Danny, Joel)been better. Stooping to such low tactics to influence how people vote is BORING, STUPID & INEFFECTUAL.

She implored the audience to feel sorry for her as she's an ordinary working class girl. When Marc nominated her (when Brian threw his shoes) she made a virtue of this, practically pleaded poverty when taking £5k, told Adjoa she likes Benidrom not luxury locations etc.
Of course some working class people go on luxury holidays, nice cars and own designer stuff e. g. EPL footballers, Essex stockbrokers, cars salesmen, in demand builders, criminals and the odd working class person who is upwardly mobile. She needs to stop going on about how rich Nick is, she has mentioned this a few times.

..it isn't just specific working people though who go to places like Dubai, I have a friend who has been quite a few times because she goes when she can get cheap flights etc, it really is an affordable world now for travelling...also if Chloe says that she prefers places in Europe like Benidorm, would that not say that maybe Dubai was more of a one off thing for her and not the type of place she would typically visit...

She needs to stop going on about how rich Nick is, she has mentioned this a few times.
But there's a difference between being like Chloe and being the son of the boss of William Hill - he is going to seem a lot richer in comparison even if he isn't employed, especially as we know (from either Amy or Sally's Twitter, I think?) that Nick's mentioned who his dad is to the others.

13-07-2015, 12:43 PM
The issue is not the Dubai trips etc it's how she pleads poverty and ordinary humble downtroddenness. Even on the recent £23k buzzer task, she snapped at Cristian saying she was deserving to get the loot.
Had Chloe not played the 'our klowuh' the down to earth Primark girl from Doncaster card, the this Instagramm revelation would be ok. It's on par with Danny's hero act then we discover he dislikes fat girls. Had he had admitted he doesn't like fat girls then it would at least seem less hypocritical.

God the BB section is hard work...
I had a look on the links and I didn't see anything out of the ordinary, going to Dubai or buying designer shoes is not out of the realm of possibility for the working class. I only work part time and I'm good enough at managing my money to regularly afford luxuries, there's no reason why Chloe isn't the same especially with a full time wage.
Well she is a criminal born and bred, what with her dad being a convicted drug baron.
I am sure her ability to afford BMWs, £300 shoes and Dubai holidays, and her dad making millions from drugs are entirely coincidental.
If you're so bitter that you're making unfounded accusations based on nothing it's probably time to take a break and go have a breather.

Why does she need her life changing if she already holidays in Dubai and wears £300 shoes?
...it doesn't really equate that she holidays in Dubai and wears £300 shoes as something that is a lifestyle if she has had a holiday in Dubai and does own a £300 pair of shoes...she probably didn't mean that it would change her whole life forever but more that it would make a big difference to it, which it would for most people... and maybe she'll use it toward her wedding if she and her boyfriend are planning to marry....

She spent the nite in Jail for falsely accusing a taxi driver of kidnapping her, she did it to try and get out of paying for the fare and paying for cleaning up all the vomit at the back of the taxi
Some serious money going down in those instagram pics, Christian Louboutin Shoes £700 2 x Louis Vuitton Bags £700-£1400 each? BMW. Boyfriend is wearing a £10k Rolex, and driving a Mercedes. Nice pic of Chloe with the boyfriend's Father in Dubai as well, interestingly he is wearing formal Arabic clothing.

Where has anyone, except you, claimed this?
The OP is implying that she lied about being working class because she takes holidays to places like Dubai and leads a "rich and luxurious lifestyle". In other words, if she was really working class, she wouldn't be able to afford it and wouldn't have nice holidays and a pair of shoes which cost £300.

God the BB section is hard work...
I had a look on the links and I didn't see anything out of the ordinary, gDubai or buying designer shoes is not out of the realm of possibility for the working class. I only work part time and I'm good enough at managing my money to regularly afford luxuries, there's no reason why Chloe isn't the same especially with a full time wage.
If you're so bitter that you're making unfounded accusations based on nothing it's probably time to take a break and go have a breather.
If I was any more relaxed then I would fall off this chair.
I have said nothing unfounded. Her dad is in jail for drug dealing. That is a fact. All his assets should be seized if they haven't already been.

The OP is implying that she lied about being working class because she takes holidays to places like Dubai and leads a "rich and luxurious lifestyle". In other words, if she was really working class, she wouldn't be able to afford it and wouldn't have nice holidays and a pair of shoes which cost £300.
Can you really blame me for coming to that conclusion?
That isn't what the op is implying. Chloe is undoubtedly working class. In fact she is more under class with the criminal dad.

Nobody is gathering hate. All that has happened is we have received some new info that exposes Chloe's game plan in the house.
It is perfectly reasonable to consider it when deciding whether to vote for her to win.
All publicly available information which chloe has put into the public domain. She even seems proud of the incident where she accused a taxi driver of kidnapping her and that is official "canon" information which she gave to a DS:BB interview.
An example I have given previously would be if, say, Cameron from BB4 was discovered to be totally non-religious and a frequenter of prostitutes, during the final week of BB4, it would be legitimate to judge him on that.

You are absolutely right. Chloe can put on whatever persona in a gameshow that she likes. And we can judge her, good or bad, on that persona and any other information in the public domain.
And we will. Which is why i am 100% certain that chloe will not win.

I wouldn't be so sure about that, people love a 'nice' dullard (see: most of the winners of BBUK) and Chloe fits the bill. Let's hope she doesn't but I wouldn't count her out.
I know it doesn't work, because the public don't have a ****ing clue what they're doing and it's time their involvement in the show was ended. But that is all that they should be judged on. There's no problem with putting on a persona per se, just that the persona offers something to the series.

The whole idea of Big Brother is Who goes? You (the public) decide. Ironically, given the fact that I doubt we get a say anymore on C5, since we only see what the producers want us to see, but still. If you're not happy with that format (the real format of BBUK), then you can't really call yourself a BBUK fan.

No it isn't, the whole idea of Big Brother is putting a group of strangers into a house locked away from the outside world and watching how they interact with each other. That's an international premise and any formats of nominations and evictions that differ by country are merely just that, varying formats. It does not mean that is inherently what the show is about or has to be forever, just how each country chooses to run the show.

The original BB format has a public vote. Anything else isn't really BB.
Not true. The premise of Big Brother, as inspiration was taken from 1984, is to put a group of strangers into a house secluded from the outside world and watch them interact (24 hours a day, which is something foreign versions that don't have a public vote still have, whilst BBUK doesn't. I'd say that's more important to what 'real' BB is) as an all seeing power has control over their lives. This is true in pretty much all international incarnations of the show. The way they handle their eviction processes is totally separate and down to the individual countries themselves, they are not inherent to the premise of the show.
And indeed I would go so far as to say that allowing the public to control and have influence upon the show actually takes away from what Big Brother is all about, which is watching them interact free from outside contact, which is exactly what a public vote is all about. By letting the housemates get on with it themselves, that's far more pure and far more ~reality~ than when you let the public interfere.
Your argument that 'the original format did this so therefore that's the one that every other format must copy' is akin to saying 'well the first general elections only allowed rich white men to vote so anything else where women, black people and the poor can take part is not a real election'.

I dont really like Chloe i think she has shown her true colours in the last couple of weeks and is a bit of a brat but the picking at her personal life is pathetic and embarrassing for those that resort to it.

Who would control evictions in your version?

The housemates themselves. Far more interesting, far more fair and far more of a ~reality show~ than letting the public interfere.

That isn't what the op is implying. Chloe is undoubtedly working class. In fact she is more under class with the criminal dad.
We get it she's got a criminal Dad.:joker:
And I agree that she's not as poor as she's making herself out to be, I think that the contestants on Ch5 are middle class to upper class.
But even if she is working class she can still save up money for these expensive things like my Dad had to on one of these things recently and we're a working class family.

This is a format that could work for BBUK I think.
Put 16 Housemates in on Friday.
On Saturday do an Immunity challenge, where only one HM can win Immunity for the week.
And then on Monday the phone lines open for who you want to save out of the other 15 Housemates.
And then on the Friday Emma will reveal the two HM's with the least votes to be saved.
Then the 14 HM's vote on which Housemate that they want to send home.
And basically it repeats itself every week from there.
What do you guys think?

Chloe self identifies as working class. She tries to portray a very specific image in the house. Goes on and on about her Benidorm holidays, but strangely never seems to mention the dubai ones.
This is the point... whether shes working, middle or upper class (which is all a bit uncomfortably england 1950s anyway to identify people like that) is kind of irrelevant.
Its the same with her 5k thing. I dont care shes goes on holiday to Dubai, just like I dont care that that Nik is clearly well off. The issue is the deceit. Even tonight miss tiny tears little 'ive learned so much' speech pretending she had some massive issue with wealthy/posh people, when in fact in those photos shes clearly not any stranger to a reasonable lifestyle.
And fair play good for her, but dont pretend 5k if 5 months wages and play that card its insulting to anyone who does earn 1k a month. Yes people can save for things but a holiday to dubai all those luxury goods would be like a whole years salary to her. And she pretends she slums it in benidorm...
The girl is just as fake as Danny just less deeply unpleasant.

Getting 5 months wages upfront and tax free is a big thing for anyone.
I hardly think she meant "change my life" in the literal sense but was just stressing how it's a lot of money to have in a lump sum. But people read into it the way they will to make it into anything.
