..I saw this story yesterday, she says in the vid that she was covered up with a blanket when she was breast-feeding and was quite modest and discreet/there was nothing to be seen...I know in an ideal word, she probably wouldn't have fed her baby in a shop but there isn't always facilities close by either and she also had a two year old in a buggy/with a crying hungry baby and was caught in a queue at the time so just found somewhere that she felt was discreet...but ughhhh, breasts, eh...should never be shown in public with babies at the end of them, am I right honey..without the baby, of course they're fine...anyway, I wonder what he would have thought if someone had just grabbed his child from his wife...

...absolutely...it's not always an ideal situation in terms of breastfeeding that a 'right place' can be nearby when needed so then it all gets clouded with that and wheter to bear a breast or not bear a breast when he had no right in any circumstances of breastfeeding to lay his hands on her child, let alone to snatch the baby away...she had no idea really that he was who he was portraying to be and he could have been anyone, how scary that must have been ...

Children don't need "protected" from seeing mothers feeding their infants, arista. In fact, maybe if they saw more of it, less youngsters would grow up believing that stuffing a plastic bottle full of lukewarm, processed cows milk in babies' gobs is "normal".

why do people act like they have to breast feed at that exact moment? Is a baby going to starve if it has to wait 20 minutes?

I personally don't have any problem with the nudity aspect of breast feeding, i think people should be allowed to be nude in public. I have a problem with the expelling bodily fluids part of breast feeding. I don't think anyone should have fluids coming out of their body in public, be it milk, blood, spit, piss, semen, vomit or any other bodily fluid you can think of.

It's gross and inappropriate because it's unhygienic, not because i can see your breasts.

Feeding a child via physiological means is not gratuitous, crass nudity and is thus not the same as 'exposing yourself'. It's time to put your hate of women aside for one second and look at this from a rational standpoint.

Let's be real, if a man were biologically capable of feeding via their nipple and did so in public you would be lambasting anyone that criticised them. And rightly so.

On a totally separate note and topic however, people should be allowed to expose themselves whenever and wherever they want, so long as it's not directly at someone when unwanted, nor in obvious exceptions such as at a school

However I don't get why the Mother couldn't wait until she got home to breastfeed the little bugger? It feels like attention seeking to me.

But I also don't get why it bugs people so much and “distracts” them seeing a natural process happen? You don't have to look.

It's true, if people wish to walk down the street naked I see no reason why they shouldn't be allowed to. Each to their own and all that.

Our bodies are natural and clothes are a man made concept and product, there's no inherent reason why we should ~have~ to wear clothes.

Again, barring the obvious exceptions and instances of which would be classed as sexual assault or harassment before someone points the inevitable out, I don't think expressing your natural self freely is at all wrong, nor should it be something illegal.

But then, I am a #liberal (loonyleftravingmonster etc etc repeat ad nauseum)

I notice you ignored my first post that quoted you. Funny that. For a start I don't hate men and I have pointed this out to you before and have given you evidence, please don't ignore me it's rude.

Again, feeding a child is not sexualised gratuitous nudity, it is a physiological natural phenomenon and anyone that looks down on it has issues.
