Which era has been the best on Channel 5?
The Dowling era (BB12 & 13/CBB8, 9, 10 & 11) or the Willis era (BB14, 15 & 16/CBB12, 13, 14 & 15)?
(This thread isn't to compare the presenters of the show. It's to compare the series that they were hosting).

Hmm.
Brian Era had BB13. But Emma era had CBB13 and CBB15. On the other hand, Brian era gave us CBB8 and BB12, whilst Emma era gave us BB15 and BB16.
Both have their merits and flaws, TBH.
Both have had their ups (CBB9, BB13, CBB13, probably BB14 and CBB15 too) and their downs (everything else). But in terms of actual production of the series, the Dowling era.

I'd say for visual graphics and editing - Emma era
For production - Brian era

On balance for me and its not really Emmas fault.
For the messing about with noms and the themes for series, for me the better period was Brians.

Not answering this question. Emma is a vastly superior presenter regardless of how awful the show has become.

Well you just answered the question then didn't you

2012 was the best year for BB and CBB but I prefer Emma's era

No, it's asking which era of Big Brother do I prefer. BB12/13 or BB14-16.
BB13 was probably the best series on CHannel 5 to me, but Emma is still a better presenter than Brian

Pointless comparison, you may as well compare an eskimo to a banana ....Emma is a talented and proffessional and unique television presenter ....Brian Dowling was a corn fed puppet who was totally generic and who sounded scripted every time he opened his mouth....
What is the matter with people this year that they even turn against Emma ? ....Some folks don't appreciate when they have a good thing .

Well if you read the thread you'd see it's about the series that they hosted, not the presenters themselves.

If its about the show and not about the presenters then why compare Emma with Brian ?.....im sure hes a nice guy and he was a great house mate but to compare the 2 is unfare to him and an insult to Emma

I've never really watched the Dowling era, but after seeing the mess that was BB16. I wish I could somehow watch the Dowling era and continue watching the Davina era..

A million years back Brian was a great housemate but he was an abdolutely dire presenter....any era, no matter how good the housemates or producers, would always be the worse era because of Brian Dowling....one of the biggest mistakes BB ever made....he ruined it during the short time he was involved

Emma & Rylan have been the most irritating - I didn't watch a single BBOTS this last series and it used to be the reason I watched BB. Once they stopped getting professionals in as guests to explain the behaviour of housemates there was not much reason to watch the dross they called guests. The BBOTS show became snouty, noisy and Chavvie. I was disgusted.

Dowling for both series and presenter

Oh... I'll still say Willis for the CBBs.
Attributing BB13 in any way to Brian Dowling would be silly.
