I was in Kenya at the time of their first (I think) gay pride in 2012. It was huge and brilliant. Kenya doesn't hate gays, some just don't understand it. Nearly all of the people that I met at the rally were academics, mostly teachers and University students. The next generation would have had it covered without Obamas help, he is only quickening the already-happening process.
