Marq tipped to enter CBB

Have you missed Marc in the Big Brother house? What if you haven’t seen the last of him?

Marc O’Neill is being tipped to enter the Big Brother house once again, but this time for the celebrity version when the series kicks off next month as bookies are offering an 8/1 shot for his return.

Over at BoyleSports, Marc is joint favourite to return at 8/1 along with X Factor reject Stevi Ritchie.

Elsewhere, Danniella Westbrook is the latest celebrity to be rumoured to be joining the lineup with rumours saying she has been offered £200,000 to do the show. Gail Porter is another celeb whose name has recently been mentioned as well as Vicky Pattison.

Apprentice star James Hill is another name that has been mentioned to join the show. American star Hulk Hogan is in the middle of a racial scandal and could join the show to do some damage control. Other controversial celebs include Dan Osbourne and comedian Dapper Laughs.

“The WWE appears to have turned their back on Hulk Hogan after a racist slur in an interview,” Aoife Heffron from BoyleSports said. “CBB is the place for disgraced stars to either build back their reputation, or diminish it further. In Hulk’s case however we expect him to be a key contender for the title.”

Celebrity Big Brother begins next month on Channel 5.

If they were going to put Marc in, it would be a deliberate attempt to try and bring in ratings, which wouldn't work because the viewing public voted to evict him, meaning the majority of viewers don't want to see him on their television screens again.

It would just be the Nikki situation all over again.

plus I do not think the celebrities would tolerate marc when he is shoving his hand in their faces, picking up and throwing them on the bed, calling them fat and other similar crude comments, and calling all the housemates two face liars, the same way the civilian housemates did.

He end up being kicked out of the house of because it, otherwise I can see housemates walking from the show if the producers didn't - killing the show dead in it's tracks with delayed evictions, repaying people who voted when a housemate walks because of him.

If Marc goes in her will be merely a parody of who he was in BB. He's had his time. Sadly I think this will happen, Perez was a huge talking point in January BB, not sure any celebs will want to copy so Marq will provide this role like a performing monkey. However the celebs, especially the US ones are wiley than the civilians and will destroy him.

You might be right, Alex. Recency bias could give him a leg up, but on the other side of the coin -- back to back seasons never really turn out well for BB contestants (globally). They always come in watered down. The novelty wears off.

I can't see him entering on launch night as it's all about discovering the celebs and the launch night "shock /twist". However by day 3 if the CBB hms are getting on too well , causing no drama and are being bland, the producers will be forced to pull their emergency cord and bring in Marq. He would happily do it as his job doesn't start till year end, he'll get a bigger pay day than bb as cbb is a much bigger show and he will relish the chance to cause mayhem.

The problem for Marq is if they put an Evander Holyfield, Audley Harrison type Celeb, they will not stand for Marc's nonsense, and a Martin Kemp will laugh along and patronise him till it irritates.

When you return to scene of success it's usually diminishing returns.

People spend money trying to evict EVERYBODY, so what's the point of the best of show from a few years back where you bring back Victor or Nikki or any of them?

Ironically - the person you all hate and now pillory, Brian Dowling, is THE ONE PERSON who never got put up for nomination and thus nobody can EVER say they paid money to directly evict him.
