Anything for money and fame. We all know they would ask Nikki/Brian Dowling first over flop Channel 5 irrels

The question was what do you think is the reason that chloe won instead of you?

Still not bitter though

I think Pete meant the person who asked the question was bitter?

I think Pete just hates Joel tbh

Jay.
26-07-2015, 06:09 PM
i wouldn't say that was bitter lmao

(that doesn't seem particularly bitter either)

Liam-

It would have been bitter if he dismissed her winning or said something nasty or shady, he said someone nice about her, aka, not bitter.

AskJake?

Liam's obsession with Jake Bass reaches new levels?

I think Pete just hates Joel tbh

He does, hence everything Joel does being either bitter or evil or shady.

Pete.
26-07-2015, 06:11 PM
Yes it's bitter because he avoided the question with a generic fake 'I'm so glad Chloe won' response the same response I picked up on during his eviction interview plus his fake delayed 'I'm so humbled' response to one of Emma's questions

Pete.

Because wishing someone was scalded in the bath is none of the above

I could say the sky is bright yellow with purple spots then, doesn't make it true or believable

The tweet which you called bitter, by definition, is not bitter, so you saying 'it's my opinion it is' is a bit redundant.

Marsh.

Is this off season boredom?

Tbf that tweet in my opinion shows that Joel is unprepared to say why Chloe was better than Joel and thus shows a resentment that someone beat him. But everyone interprets things differently :spin:

i think if he did say/answer that properly, people would say that he was even more bitter?

if he were to say 'chloe was just nice than me' or something idk, it would 100% look more bitter.

I'm a little confused at why Emma told us that the housemates had been in lockdown for two weeks, yet Joel was posting selfies on Twitter on 9 May. :suspect:

yeah it's an opinion because no one can prove that you're wrong and you can debate about it (no right or wrong answers when it comes to opinions)

He could just say the public found Chloe a better housemate/more relatable etc instead of avoiding the question? It looks like he refuses to get his self-indulged pride hurt

and by saying "the sky is what ever colour" can't be an opinion because you can prove them wrong

I can see where you're coming from because he gave his opinion on Chloe rather than answering the question.

Point proven

Not really

I might dislike her, but I'd happily be able to admit if she did something right or she said something I agreed with, that's the point, I'm capable of being objective whereas some people aren't, it's not an issue if you're not capable of being so, but at least admit to it :joker:

But I don't see why my dislike of Joel should cloud my opinion. If Jack did the same thing by avoiding the question I would the same thing, and I quite like Jack

Tbf that tweet in my opinion shows that Joel is unprepared to say why Chloe was better than Joel and thus shows a resentment that someone beat him. But everyone interprets things differently :spin:

No it doesn't, Pete you'd find a way to criticise him whatever the answer

If he'd said 'I guess the public like bores more than good housemates that contribute to the series' you'd call him bitter (and he would be, despite it being true)

If he'd said 'idk, I suppose they liked her personality more' you'd twist that around to say 'yeah that's cause you're "fake"'

What is he supposed to say in that situation? It's like those horrible self analysis surveys you have to fill in that mostly everyone hates because they don't want to come across as big headed and who the hells wants to talk about themselves? It's awkward. And on a public platform he risks offending Chloe, someone he obviously likes, by answering, so he chose not to bother. I don't see the issue.

LukeB
26-07-2015, 07:20 PM
I don't think it should be made out Pete is saying bitter because he dislikes Joel and stuff, like he said he would have said the same thing about Jack.

Pete.
26-07-2015, 07:21 PM
If he'd said 'idk, I suppose they liked her personality more' you'd twist that around to say 'yeah that's cause you're "fake"'

As I said earlier I wouldn't have had a problem with him saying that because well it's true because Chloe beat him. It might just be a case of him misreading the tweet but it seems like he purposefully ignored the question (he is a 'politician' after all)

He is calculating, he'll be carefully wording all the answers and hiding things... like many politicians
