When someone cries because you or someone else has upset them do you automatically feel sorry for them or do you not forgive them if they did something majorly wrong?

For me I weigh out their actions, if it's something petty then I'll comfort them and feel sorry for them, but if they did something awful then they get no sympathy from me.

It's healthy to let all that emotion out

I always feel bad for someone if they cry, regardless. If anyone wants to emotionally manipulate me, that's all they need to do.

It depends on the person. I know a few people who use tears to get what they want. One of them even boasts about this!! If they were genuine tears I would probably comfort them, although I would still stick to my guns about the cause of the row, if I were in the right.

If i do make someone cry which isn't often but I have done it occasionally I usually feel terrible afterwards but sometimes I don't if they had it coming their way.

I comfort them when they cry because I'm a nice person and I have a heart.

I hope and really don't think I have made someone cry for any reason that would be upsetting to them.
However,I would comfort someone crying if the were wronged or it had gone too far by the other person.

If the person crying was only doing so because they were rightly in the wrong and were losing or had lost the argument, or doing it for sympathy or only because they had been caught out doing something bad then I would leave them to get on with it.

Have to say it makes me feel soooo awkward.
If it was something they did wrong I would be less inclined to comfort them than if they were the ones wronged.
