I think a spontaneous strike would be better i'd like all tube workers who are thinking about striking to go stand in the tracks right now.

God bless the unions...genuinely. There should be more of them, then a lot of ppl who are p'd off / inconvenienced by this strike would understand that these days there are very few that will stand up for you within the workplace, and you should cherish those that do.

Am I affected? Yes. Am I glad they've taken action? Also yes.

Aren't you worried that the workers wanting to protect their living might affect profits?

the trains really should have been fully automated years ago. there's no doubt we have the technology. The city really should just pony up the money to get google or whatever other company that can do it, and automate the trains. There hasn't been a need for drivers for a long time.

I suggest you compare safety records of driverless trains.

compared to the safety records of busses or cars or cycling, which everyone is being forced to use today, i imagine they are looking better and better. hell i bet they are even safer than just being a pedestrian.

Until people are directly affected instead of indirectly nobody cares. Sad state of the nation.

Won't they have to take on new staff, how can the drivers working days work nights too?
