She should have kept this for her new TV show on TLCHD

[it is ‘ridiculous’ to live in a country ‘where we can put dogs to sleep but not people’, as she admits she regrets calling migrants ‘cockroaches’]

[In an interview by Michael Buerk in Radio Times magazine, Hopkins said: “We just have far too many old people.”]

I used to defend her right to have a view on certain subjects, however now anything she says is purely for effect and therefore meaningless.

Why oh why must we report on everything she says or does. Stop giving her attention. Stop making her news.

She speaks the hard truths. not the truth about reality, but the truth about how people really feel. just telling people that how they feel is wrong, instead of actually exploring the ideas is the problem.

The truth is, everything she says makes sense. it's just not very nice.

for a country like britain, where everyone likes to just say what sounds nice, but trust their government to do the dirty work, it's upsetting for them.

of course what she says is heartless and selfish, but the vast majority of people are. they just don't like anyone else knowing.

Problem is a lot of doctors used to bump off patients in a kind way with a little too much of this and that but after Shipman they cant

As usual she words it in a way that nobody can take her seriously, she's completly right though, it's ridiculous that people have to suffer for months when they'd rather die

Good idea. Let's start with her parents, let her lead by example.

I always have and always will support euthanasia... not sure I'd want Katie Hopkins to be the spokesperson for it though.

The actual truth is is you don't know how the vast majority feel.

In theory I agree with the issue she's raising, but once again her wording and delivery is diabolical.

I don't agree with anything she's suggesting, because it sounds like her idea is a culling of eldery people rather than actual euthanasia (in which the person in question is usually choosing to end their life, not being put down because they're "old"). Killing off people once they reach a certain age is like an idea from a story set in a sinister dystopian dictatorship. :umm2:

We don't have too many old people, we have too many cruel, spiteful pieces of trash like her.

i think you'd be surprised how many elderly folk are hopeless and ready to go. i think it's very exhausting for them to put up with tons of young people patronizing them. and they do feel like a burden, especially if they have lost mobility.

i do hope medical science invents immortality before i'm that age. i don't want to be in a care home. although even if they do invent immortality, probably only the rich will be able to afford it.

My point is that she's seemingly not merely refering to those "ready to go". Specifically, the part where she says something along the lines of "just because medical advances allow us to live longer doesn't mean it's the right thing to do" sounds like she expects old people to essentially end their lives at a certain age as a requirement for population control, not a choice.

I was't going to post on this thread as I just dismiss near all this ignorant waste of space that is Katie Hopkins does or says,as to ever saying anything decent or relevant as to society in general.

It is beyond my understanding that anyone even listens to her, let alone agree with her especially on these issues.

Anyway all I came on to say really was I agree 100% with every word you say in your post and really well said too Lostie.
A truly horrible and rotten from the core individual is Hopkins, truly rotten.

Oops .. this has come back to bite her on the butt, wish I had a thread to put it in :hehe:

'Katie Hopkins, the outspoken newspaper columnist, has been questioned by police over allegations she incited racial hatred with an article about migrants.
The controversial media personality was criticised for a piece in The Sun in April in which she compared asylum seekers to "cockroaches".
Hopkins, 40, also said she would use "gunships" to halt boats from crossing the Mediterranean just a day after hundreds of migrants were killed off the Sicilian coast.'
