Maybe she needs extra comfort from being followed by photographers every time she steps out with her parents. If she were a thumb sucker no one would say anything.....leave them alone

Is this news? I knew somebody at School that was 12 before they gave up using a Dummy and I'm not joking.
David wearing a Pink Floyd tshirt is more interesting news..
Leave the kid alone.

Shame the DM etc don't have the same concerns for her childhood when following a four year old everywhere she goes, or her eyes when they are blinding her with flashes from the camera
..I can't decide who looks more adorable in that pic..dad or daughter.....but yeah I'm with Josy, the Pink Floyd t-shirt might just edge it for me....

Nope...the parents haven't reported this as news. My son never took to a dummy but I tried....I sucked my thumb until I was 11....it's impossible to take a thumb off a child. Maybe she just needs extra reassurance with being followed by jerks from the media....who cares, she's still a baby really, only just 4

Yes because a 4 year old still using a dummy is news..
Who are the Daily Mail to suggest they're bad parents because their 4 year old, yes only 4 years old, still uses a dummy?

I'm a mum and don't agree with making news about a 4 year old. As I said earlier....if she were sucking her thumb it's never as frowned upon but believe me that is a harder habit to break than having a dummy. You cannot remove a thumb and thumbs cause more dental damage than dummies tools they press harder against the teeth. Plus as I said I'm more worried about the damage hAving paps following her around will have on her childhood than her sucking a dummy

I have seen my own Nieces and Nephews, not many admittedly, who have still had a dummy,or 'soother' as they get called until, aged 3,and a couple until 4.
A few who never had one at all, if it helps keep her settled why not and why should it even be news at all.
Shocking of the media to even draw attention to it,then again look at the trash of a so called newspaper it is in anyway.

What Annie said...
David Beckham has slammed critics who questioned his four-year-old daughter Harper’s use of a dummy.
The ex-England star hit back at criticism saying others had no right to judge him as a parent, after an article in the Daily Mail suggested the youngster was too old to still need the pacifier.
The former footballer posted a screenshot of the article on his Instagram page to his 10.1 million followers, accompanied with a message indicating his daughter had been unwell.
It read: “Why do people feel they have the right to criticise a parent about their own children without having any facts ??
“Everybody who has children knows that when they aren’t feeling well or have a fever you do what comforts them best and most of the time it’s a pacifier so those who criticise think twice about what you say about other people’s children because actually you have no right to criticise me as a parent …”
An expert quoted in the article claimed that the use of the dummy could mean that David’s fourth child, and only daughter, could end up with speech or dental issues.
It also featured pictures of Harper walking alongside her father in a white dress with fluorescent pink stars, and with a dummy in her mouth.
David often uses his Instagram page to share pictures of his family, including his three sons, Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz, and wife Victoria.
Within an hour of him posting the message hitting out at the Mail story, it had been liked more than 270,000 times, and had more than 9,000 comments – many of them showing support for the frustrated father

I'm not keen on the Beckhams , never have been , but surely it's up to them how they bring their child up , for me personally it's not something I'de like my 4 year old to do , but each to their own , live and let live I say,as long as they are happy.

Yeah and tbf every child is different, some kids take longer and more effort to wean them off things like that. Took my mother ages to get my baby brother off his bottle, he didn't want to give it up

My son would still have a bottle at bedtime if it were up to him.....He still says milk tastes better from a bottle (and it seemed to tire him more).
