The TV watchdog has received 200 complaints from viewers that Bollywood star Shilpa is the victim of racist bullying.

Ofcom has reported the new troubles following the show's plummeting ratings and the walkout of three celebrities.

The Indian beauty was branded a "dog" by disgraced former Miss Great Britain Danielle who blamed Shilpa for Carole's eviction on Friday night.

Both Danielle and Jo have imitated Shilpa's Indian accent, while Jade's evicted mum Jackiey dubbed her "The Indian" and refused to learn how to pronounce her name.

Some fans have been upset by what they believe is racist behaviour and have been voicing their concerns on internet forums.

Housemate Jermaine thinks that Jade's gang - including JO and Danielle - are jealous of her and Ian told him he thought the house was turning into Lord of the Flies.

A Big Brother insider said if producers thought there was abuse, bullying or racism going on, they would take a very serious view. But anti-racism campaigners are demanding BB bosses take action if it is proved Shilpa has been the victim of racially-motivated abuse.

I agree! It's up to Shilpa to stand up for herself, noone elses' responsibility. 200 complaints?! What do they expect BB to do about it? I'm sure Shilpa knows that Jack's a racist airhead, and if she hasn't taken any action to sort it out, it should be rested.

No surprises really, Shilpa fans, or any HM's fans have every right to voice their views, and in this case they're correct IMO.
However what they need to realise is that the bitchy girls we're talking about here are narrow-minded and stupid (albeit rather malicious as well); plus, they don't seem to want to understand, or take into account Shilpa's culture/bringing up. However I don't think it's racism in the sense that they'd be horrible to any person of colour - I think it's because they dislike Shilpa since she's so confident and presents herself so well, so they add the fact that she's foreign to it as well.
As for Jack on the other hand, he has said the P word and has attacked Shilpa behind her back when she's done nothing to him. So that's a different matter...

I was thinking has it actually been proved yet? because i keep listening to the clip but never seem to hear the comment, or is it a case of Shilpa fans wanting it to be true so badly so then people feel sorry for her even more?

I haven't heard it but i tried to lip read him and you can see he may have said a word beginning with a 'P'. But as you know, there are many words that are derogotary and start with a 'P'.

It's just a case at putting two and two together atm, and obviously '****' is the most offensive and controversial, so people will choose that!

Untill i actually hear him say the word, i;m not convinced but who knows!?

That was exactly my concern in the other thread about this ( http://www.thisisbigbrother.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=53720&page=2#pid611578 ) Just seems to be some pretty flimsy evidence, I wouldn't want some of the Shilpa fans on here to be in any jury hearing charges against me (not that I would ever do anything wrong!!) Innocent until proven guilty!!

I dont see how it is racial bullying. Its bitching, and it happens in ever BB and just bcause Shilpa is of a diffrent race its Racial bullying - Jeez. We dont know of Jack did call her that - It was cut out of live stremeing and of HL's - I have seen the clip and from his mouth movements i think he is saying prick.

And Jackiey did try and learn how to pronounce her name but She couldnt - It may be easy for some people and not so easy for others. I myself kept getting it wrong for the first few days.


Bear in mind, I do like Shilpa.
