I'm doing okay away from it being ridiculously hot.

We still have snow patches on the mountains and they will last until the new snow starts in Sept. There are patches at Glencoe 200m long and 8m deep at the present.

Yesterday on the A9 the rain was so intense i was down to 30mph and the laybyes were full of cars who had just stopped

Scotland has had a very poor summer due to the location of the jet stream but our Highland games got 3 dry days and middle girl LT won the dressage cup beating girls much older than her and the 3 years straight champion (and got a lovely big pic in the paper) :hee:

i've hardly done anything tbh, it's rained almost every day too. Which I guess it's good because it's given me time to work on my fitness and stuff, ready to return to university transformed :flutter:

My summer is going great! I've been in Portugal for 10 weeks now and my quality of life has been improved more than I could have imagined! The weather has been lovely and we have access to a private outdoor pool, so we go there regularly. We're going to stay there for a week soon, I'll be in the pool/chilling outside 24/7 :amazed:

I've hardly done anything. I've pretty much stayed at home for the whole summer, except when I go to the gym and when I went on holiday for a week. But the last week or so has been better as I said on another thread a few weeks ago that it was a crap summer, but it has improved slightly. I just want to get back to work, TBH. I've been off for 8 weeks now, and I've got another 3 weeks to go. Making the most of it though.

It's been the worst summer in a long time. I expected it to be really good as I had just left school but it's just been really boring at times and probably the fact i'm still trying to find a job has something to do with it

Well I've been to Italy so I can't really complain, but the UK weather is **** tbh :(

Like Tom I went to Italy for the second week of the Summer holidays but this Summer is the most boring Summer of my life. I've been out with my friends like 5/6 times and it's the fourth week now. Last Summer I broke my elbow and had to have an operation on it but somehow that Summer was actually better than this Summer I actually went out more with a bloody broken elbow. Actually wait to get back to school at this rate.

Year 8 Summer was the best me and my group of friends said we needed to do something every single day and we did I think apart from like the odd three/four days

I've loved this summer, I've been trying to do everything I can in this transition period to starting uni. I've been more proactive and been on walks and bike rides a lot but done so much with my friends than the usual summer, like barbecues and movie nights. If only the weather could have been a bit better cos it's been a bit gloomy lately.

At the end of the month I'm going on holiday with all my friends to Greece for a week then I get back and I'm moving into halls a few days after for freshers :worry:

I've been working pretty much all summer,

I have the day off today but I need to go get books for the college semester this fall, my birthday is on Saturday (23rd) and I plan on going to a casino.
