This is good progress at least but there will be less viewers in autumn than there would be in Summer for the live feed ...

What on earth?

It's time for them to make up their minds regarding this really

Jarrod
14-08-2015, 01:49 PM
Clearly they favour Celebrity Big Brother.. not that it's a surprise.

Cal.
14-08-2015, 01:52 PM
They need to decide whether they're using live feed or not tbh

Daniel.
14-08-2015, 01:52 PM
I don't care

Jason.
14-08-2015, 01:54 PM
Wow.

I'd rather have lots of live feed for CBB and little to none for BB, as opposed to little to none for both of them like we've had ever since CBB13.

Cal.
14-08-2015, 01:56 PM
Didn't BB16 have 30 minutes every Friday night?

CBB16 will get 120 minutes every Friday night welp.

Rob!
14-08-2015, 01:56 PM
Erm... Ok? Well, it's a good thing I guess. How long is it on for?

Oaker
14-08-2015, 01:56 PM

Yes, so this is 10x better than that

14-08-2015, 01:57 PM
That's a big step in the right direction. Let's hope that this is a success so that we get more next year.

Jason.
14-08-2015, 01:57 PM
Is this for the whole series or just the first week?

Cause I remember a similar article like this appearing for one of the more recent series (I can't remember which?) It sounds too good to be true. :suspect:

Jason.
14-08-2015, 01:58 PM
Maybe they're bringing in live feed due to the extremely low ratings of BB16, so they want to see if this increases ratings?

Oaker
14-08-2015, 01:58 PM
Do we know if evictions are on Tuesday or Wednesday yet?

Jason.

Probably Tuesday.

Oh yeah oops CBB14 had live feed most nights for it's first week I think.

Cal.
14-08-2015, 01:59 PM
They're contradicting themselves by claiming one week they can't afford live feed and then another week scheduling it nightly.

Jason.
14-08-2015, 02:01 PM
Oh yeah oops CBB14 had live feed most nights for it's first week I think.

Yeah that's the one, and then it got cancelled when it started. I hope the same thing doesn't happen with this, but I wouldn't be surprised.

Although, if this is true and we do get an hour a night, then yay. I hope they do it for all future series as well, including BB.

Jason.
14-08-2015, 02:03 PM
I'm also glad they're making use of 5*. They haven't really made use of the sister channel since 2012, and I don't get why, they could air many things BB related to it. Same way C4 used E4 for spin-offs and other BB-related programmes, including live streaming.

Daniel.
14-08-2015, 02:07 PM
If live feed was on e4 where did it air 24/7

It was via the red button

Jason.
14-08-2015, 02:10 PM
If live feed was on e4 where did it air 24/7

Via the red button and online for 24/7. But they also aired 'Big Brother: Live' for like 6 hours from midnight till 6 in the morning.

Cal.
14-08-2015, 02:10 PM
All's I honestly remember from Channel 4 live feed was them sleeping.

Will.
14-08-2015, 02:11 PM
Really good news. How long is it for each night?

Jason.
14-08-2015, 02:12 PM

Haha, that was the 'Big Brother: Live' they aired from midnight till 6am, where they would be asleep. But if you used red button, you could watch it any time in the day.

Ant.
14-08-2015, 02:12 PM
Don't watch BOTS, watch the live feed, let them know what we want

I wasn't that interested in Big Brother back then (besides loving BB7 and BB8) but I think my mum never bothered with live feed. She used to watch the eviction repeats on T4 though.

Omg, I remember those. They used to repeat the evictions on Saturday morning on T4, and in the evenings on E4.

And they used to have BBLB on Sunday T4. Those were the days

And Live Feed was a hell of a lot more than them sleeping, we had the secret channel, we actually got to watch the housemates genuinely interact with each other and some of the late night conversations on the feed were really interesting, we actually got to see the housemates having fun without crazy warnings every few minutes from the BB voices, we had news about drama well before it was aired on tv, we had nom cam during nominations, on the red button we could choose which camera we wanted to watch and I will never forget when the feed cut off during fight night, the suspense of what was going on that night was mental.

Ikr. I remember having exams in school the next day, but I stayed up till about 2am watching the feeds. It was so rivetting. Especially when the camera panned over the garden and you can hear plates smashing and then the BB5 logo would come up with the notice that security had entered the house. It was so scary.

Daniel.
14-08-2015, 02:51 PM
I watched BB10 live every night I could and it was always entertaining

I used to watch live feed with my mum usually in a morning on the weekend just as background noise tbh

Jason.
14-08-2015, 02:53 PM
BB6 live feed was amazing. I watched too much of it that year and couldn't get enough of it. The BB5 and CBB3 feeds were great too  BB9 live feed was dull, if I remember correctly. But LF Rachel was amazing.

TBF, who'd want to watch more than an hour a night of BB16 anyway?

Niamh.
14-08-2015, 03:12 PM
True ^ :hehe:

Ross.
14-08-2015, 03:20 PM
I think live feed is needed more than it ever was now so we can actually get to know the housemates really, considering the highlights we get now are edited awfully and tend to not show the full extent of many situations or not even show it at all to try and stay biased to the producer's favourite housemates to keep them in, it's becoming more obvious every year.

Lostie!
14-08-2015, 03:25 PM
BB10 live feed >

Yeah, only having live feed overnight for BB10 wasn't that bad in the end because, most of the time, there was a lot happening. Nights like Bunnygate are perfect with live feed.

Your post is a perfect example on the irony of BB fans lol.

Agreeing the live feed for BB16 was **** and praising it in the same post?

Baffled......As im sure the producers are to.

We could get 24/7 live feed back and it would switch from everyone complaining about no live feed to the editing of the highlights now we get to see the full days.

I agree producers are taking the piss and more live feed is needed but BB fans will NEVER be happy and that's a fact.

Im sorry but its so lazy lol.

Literally the OP made an effort to post schedules and clearly stated how long and when live feed would be on and members come in and cant be arsed to read past the title because they need their info spoon fed to them by the rest of the forum.

Your attempt at a sarcastic response is embarrassing due to your response asking for info that's been provided in black and white.

Maybe stop wasting yours and other forum members time lol.

Well there was one episode I watched and it was like a different house, the actual HL were boring and overall made a rubbish series and I wouldn't want to watch live feed on those HMs, but once watching live feed it changed my
mind on quite a few of them.

I meant that the housemates came across as a bad bunch in the HL, but watching live feed showed them to be better than first thought.

It's watched by adults/teenagers in the main so I don't see the issue, plus it can be recorded, everyone complained about summer CBB starting too soon after civilian, now they have given a decent interval people are still complaining, they can't win really whatever they do is greeted with complaints
