Speak a little Spanish I'm taking it for GCSE but I'm picking it up quite quickly and I want to continue Spanish at A-Level
I wish to learn patois (Nicki Minaj's drunk talk video inspired me tbh)

Spanish GCSE was the worst. Nine years later and that musty classroom still hasn't escaped my memory

I really like it tbh I find it so interesting. My teacher is really good though and I'm getting way above my target grade in tests and pieces of coursework

At one point I was semi-fluent in Welsh.. but now I've forgotten everything so I don't think it counts.

My grandparents used to try and make me learn Irish because they're both Irish and you can TELL. This was like when I was little and I never used to be able to speak it and my granddad would get annoyed so my mum told them to stop making me do it so young and try when I'm older but they never tried again.

Top of the class in Afrikaans, much to my dads disgust, he wondered why I was better than the Afrikaners
I could understand enough German to help the kids with homework as a lot of it is similar to Dutch/ Afrikaans.
I would love to learn Portuguese or French but my little grey cells could not cope now.:bawling:

I've been learning Japanese on and off for a while but still nowhere near fluent :( I think I know enough to have a short conversation with a Japanese person though
I started learning Sign Language at one point because I was bored, it's really hard though!

That's a difficult language all of its own.

I did German at GCSE and clearly knew enough to get myself a B, but I've forgotten most of it since. I'd love to be fluent in another language.

There used to be a racehorse some years ago which the (humorous) owner named; 'Shy Talk'. Listening to the poor commentator struggling to pronounce its name during running so that it did not sound like; '****e Hawk - an old Yorkshire term - was hilarious.

Being an old bastard and not 'with it' - I find that half the threads on here are in a foreign language. No matter how many times I read through them, I still have not got a clue what they're about or what Tibbies are saying.

I know English (obviously) and because of Eurovision (and an app created by students at Carnegie Mellon University here in Pittsburgh called DuoLingo), a bit of French.
...a wee bit of French, a wee bit of Dutch and also sign language...Makaton sign though which is specific to people who find it difficult to communicate...
...I'm fluent in many accents though, both regional and International...
