Channel 5 has confirmed an big increase to the amount of live feed for Celebrity Big Brother summer 2015, with 5* set to air an hour every weeknight.
Following the release of last week’s preliminary info, a spokesperson for the broadcaster confirmed today that the digital channel will air streaming on weeknights throughout the entire series.
So far, 5* has scheduled one-hour episodes of ‘Celebrity Big Brother: Live From The House’ on 27th-28th August and 31st August-4th September.
In addition, half-hour episodes will air on C5 after the live shows on Friday 28th August and Friday 4th September – meaning there will be a total of 90 minutes of live feed on those nights.
This will be the most streaming C5 has aired for Big Brother since summer 2013, when the fourteenth civilian and twelfth Celebrity editions had two hours per night.
There will still be no feed on weekends, but spin-off show Bit On The Side will air seven days a week this series for the first time in two years. It will air on C5 on weekdays, and 5* at weekends.
Elsewhere, C5’s commitment to airing Football League highlights in Saturday primetime means Saturday highlights episodes have been pushed back to a 10.30pm timeslot.
Midweek evictions will remain on Tuesdays, with the first boot-out of the series taking place on Tuesday 1st September.
