View Full Version : Will there be any youtubers this year?

I wouldn't be devastated nor overjoyed if any youtubers went in, but I'm quite surprised there hasn't been any yet (don't think so anyway) considering they always try to keep it up to date with the large doses of reality TV stars.
They've been on band aid can't see why they can't do CBB, they also have more social media followers than 90% of the celebs that usually go in.
As I said I wouldn't mind either way, but I think having a quite well known one could boost ratings more than any reality TV show star ATM

Probably not this time around, but the one in January will probably have one, I'll take a punt at either Tyler Oakley, Zoella or KSI, vom at all three.

I dont think we will ever get any YT's.

They would have to let them film videos in the house

A lot of youtubers bulk record these days because they can be so busy anyway

Please no. That would be truly awful. It's bad enough that they've been allowed to go on BOTS (and in the house to film a segment for BOTS).

Most of them seem to be focusing on other ways to get money other than youtube anyway, but there most likely would have been some rumours by now so maybe another series

Mainstream youtubers would be terrible yes, but popular ones that don't care about being liked or disliked would be amazing, the Zoella and Tyler types drive me insane because they're so nicey nice all the time and it's annoying and blatantly fake, gimme Mamrie Hart and I'll be stoked.

OMG no thanks. Youtubers have been on other shows such as BBUS and BBCAN and they've always been awful. Please don't pollute BBUK with them
I doubt any of them would really. I couldn't see Zoe doing it, maybe Tyler at a push. It would probably be a semi-famous youtuber, if anything.

Thing is, they cant afford the popular youtubers and not enough people will care for the cheaper ones.

Two vloggers called Niki and Sammy (personally, I've never heard of them). They were panellists on Bigger BOTS and were allowed into the Diary Room/camera runs to film for BOTS.

Let's be real. Anyone with about half a million subs+ is more than likely more relevant than most of the people that will be in.

Who???
Who???
Tyler Oakley: Some man who makes videos and is like some kind of role model to teenage girls
Zoella: She videos herself doing makeup, and rose to fame and then ghostwrote a book and is apparently 'celebrity' enough to go on Celebrity Bake Off (which is what scares me about the possibility of her going on)
KSI: I watched like two videos because he was quite controversial and is basically popular for playing sports video games and being sexist

Would be good to get one, wouldn't be shocked to eventually get Niki and Sammy since they're already in bed with C5
Not like a youtuber is less famous than Frenchy/Cami Li/Austin Armacost/Danielle Marr/Courtney Stodden/Bobby Sabel/Georgia Salpa/Jasmine Lennard/Danica Thrall...

They aren't celebrities, they are people who can't be bothered to go out and get a real job and take the "easy option". Plus, I don't want the show to be bombarded with silly little fan girls.
The only social media personality likely to go in is Dapper Laughs.

Hmm so spending hours a day recording, editing etc is the easy option? They practically do about 4 jobs in one, surely being a celebrity in general is the easy option if these guys don't wanna go out and get a real job? I bet they're making more money this year than a normal job would pay in 5 years, good on them.

Don't bother pulling the "they're probably getting more money than you" crap... I don't care about the money, I just think that it's a bit of a copout.
Tyler Oakley is a big fan of the US version of BB - no idea how he feels about the UK one :joker:

The may be 'famous celebs' in their own heads and to their sad subscribers, but they're still nobodies.
And I had never heard of them before.

I wouldn't mind seeing one go in. People say "no, they're not celebrities!" but at least among the target demographic of big brother these days they're a hell of a lot more known than the majority of the people they stick in the house these days when they're getting 1m+ views per video and similar numbers of followers.

KSI: 10,252,784 Subscribers
Zoella: 8,927,583 Subscribers
Tyler Oakley: 7,395,024 Subscribers
I mean idk considering they have millions of subscribers I don't really think they're 'nobodies'
Besides, CBB (and other celebrity shows) is filled with nobodies (+ two or three relevant housemates)

I was just thinking they'd bring in a bigger and newer audience than the majority of reality strs are, I didn't mean have both.
They've done radio shows, celebrity bake off, band aid, may as well just chuck one or two in and see how it goes.
And I think any quite well known ones are more famous for a younger audience than almost all recent housemates

People who are not in agreement with these people being legitimate celebrities need to do a bit of research into the numbers they pull in, the money they make and their slow integration into mainstream media. Speak to anyone in your family between the ages of 9 and 19. They will know Zoella believe me.
Saying that, they ARE massive - but within a certain demographic. I'm not sure taking those follows with them onto a show like Big Brother would be great for the wholesome imagine most of these people like to sustain.
Ashley.

The only viewers YouTubers will pull in are children who are too young to be watching the show in the first place. (Especially with the amount of nudity and stuff that we get these days, it'd make them cry)
Then they'd be annoyed if they get evicted early or don't get enough airtime...

Probably with yotube most of the views are from fans multi viewing it so views dont represent fan numbers
