[Two of the victims are in critical condition,
according to a statement from the
office of President Francois Hollande.
The suspected gunman was arrested around
6pm local time after being overpowered by fellow passengers,
according to the regional newspaper La Voix Du Nord.]
Well done the Brave passangers
So much respect for those American passengers, risking their lives and suffering what sounds like terrible injuries to save the rest of the train. Apparently they were marines and heard him in the toilet loading his weapon, just imagine how many lives would have been lost if they hadn't been there. Real heroes, deserve all of our thanks.

Can't believe how little this has been on the news here. This is a big deal. Yet again more terrorism in the EU.
These men are total Heroes though. I heard there was a brit with them? Is that not true?

Yes. A middle aged IT worker, which makes his bravery incredible. I'm not lessening the Anmerican soldiers bravery, but at least they are trained for action, so to speak. But the British man thought 'what the hell, I'm going to die so I might as well die trying to take him down. Apparently he grabbed the terrorists rifle and gave him a good one two with it, right in the family jewels.:cheer2:
British and American co-operation at it's very best.

It would be carnage if it was a carriage full of TIBB women - they'd pulverise the terrorist

I don't know how he expects this to work, imagine rush hour every carriage is heaving except for the women only one....:idc: A step backwards for women

I saw the interview with him, he grabbed his left arm... the embellishments were not necessary it was an heroic enough move.

You know us so well
On a more serious note though, well done to those brave individuals who averted what could have been a carnage, and thankfully that terrorist is in Police Custody.
Get used to it, it'll be coming to a town near you.
We're all at risk, it could happen anytime anywhere.
Until the P.C brigade admit what the problem is then nothing will be done, but they would rather see innocent people killed than hurt the feelings of people who believe in a barbaric religion.

I was saying the same thing today, they usually have it on the news but 3rd or 4th top story, but I think it's one of the biggest wake up calls and news stories in a while
