There is a limit to how much 'plastic' surgery the human face can stand, then - sooner or later - those who insist in transgressing that limit end up looking like a Marshmallow Monster or The Bride Of Frankenstein.

I personally, would much rather see someone 'grow old gracefully'. Beauty will always still be evident in the most aged of faces, whilst those once beautiful people who try to defy age by surgery, eventually obliterate all traces of that beauty.

Was this on TV this morning? as she had a procedure done , but it wasn't under the knife , she was awake while they did it , I like Sherrie , it's a shame she feels she needs anything done as I always thought she looked good for her age .

.. I think she looks ok, and as long as she feels good about herself...in the first pic, she looks a bit like Gloria Hunniford I think....

..I have to say that 'grow old gracefully' has to be one my most hated expressions ever...I don't know why a female can't be graceful if she's had cosmetic surgery, that's just dumb and nothing to do with 'graceful'...

...you kind of don't seem to worry or ask these things when it's someone like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Arista..

yeah let people do what they want with there own bodies, no one says a word when people want to get tattoos or piercings or what ever but it's some sort of sin to get plastic surgery to get rid of some wrinkles?

I did put that phrase in inverted commas Ammi, to illustrate that I was being lazy in not wording it more adequately, and if you read my post again you will clearly see that I was non specific regarding gender because I was encompassing ALL who overdo the plastic surgery - men as well as women.

I think the key word also is 'overdo' because 'plastic' surgery - like almost everything - is better in moderation, but it is that one trip to the well too many which I was referring to, and in Sherry Hewson's case (who I have always liked and who I have always thought was an attractive woman) I believe that she is starting to look 'puffy'.

Sly Stallone has ruined his 'doe-eyed' handsomeness through over indulging with the cosmetic surgery (as his mother) and I am sure that he would be m ore handsome now had he remained 'au naturale', or at least limited his surgery.

But then again, it's alright for me to talk because I've never had cosmetic surgery, and I look 20 years younger than my age, have not one wrinkle on my face, and am still irresistibly handsome.

..ahhh I honestly wasn't referring to your post specifically Kirk, it's just one of my 'pet hate' expressions because it's usually used more about females and I don't see the correlation between graceful and having cosmetic surgery...
