They've pulled out a couple of good civ BB seasons in BB13 and 14, but the past two have been abysmal. On the whole I've much preferred CBB since the move to Channel 5, it's been a bit more 'consistent' in quality/usually offers more entertainment for me.

It's true though (in regards to my CBB15 comment).

So much was hidden from viewers and things that happened would never have happened in the C4 days.

Alexander being told to walk because of Perez, begging Perez to stay in when he asked to walk four times and then putting him in a secret room, KH having internet access in the house, housemates having special privilleges like unlimited ciggarettes for duration of stay (Calum) or having her hair done every two days whilst in the house (KP).

Things like that, which isn't what BB is about, and pretty much goes against every rule in the book.

I do, when it's BB we're supposed to be watching. If it goes against the format, then why do they even bother calling it BB. If I wanted to watch drama, I can always tune into ITVBe and watch TOWIE.

Then again, the original format of BB died in 2010, so I don't even know why I'm complaining about this over a C5 series.

I get what you mean. Maybe it's cause you hope that BB will be a good series, so you look forwards to it more, whereas with CBB, you'll assume that it will be good, cause you know...it's CBB.

I wasn't excited prior to CBB15 because of BB15 and CBB14 being crap. I was excited for BB16 cause we were all hoping and knew it would be better than BB15 (boy were we wrong, oh so wrong) and well I never look forwards to summer CBB anyway.

Having said that, I did begin to get excited for CBB15 after it started as it had a great first week/half and the hype and feel surrounding that series was fantastic. Same with CBB13.

I definitely don't take CBB that seriously, it's fun to watch how celebrities live and there's some decent drama, but it's all a bit of fun. Then the civilian series on the other hand is like dead serious, if I don't like someone it really annoys me and I probably wish bad thing upon them and the people I love I would stick up for them to the death. I also find the civilian series more exciting just because you never know which way it's gonna go.

I always prefer the concept of civilian BBUK to CBBUK because I like the idea of selecting entertaining but real everyday people and putting them in a house to see the drama. But now C5 have completely messed up BBUK from a production and cast standpoint whilst they still do CBB quite well means I prefer CBB to normal BBUK now (the awful one-two punch of BB15 and BB16 was too much for me)
