If you judge the quality of the housemates on their celebrity status then yeah it's bloody tragic but they'll probably be bringing the drama and should make for some good TV so I'm optimistic about this series for now.

I didn't know a single one of the USA squad so that's a first for me. The problem is that, these days, who we each define as a celeb is very much dependent on what we are in to and our age group, so one person may know everyone, and another no-one. For me a "true" celeb should transcend age and interest groups, and not a single one of them fits in to that category.

I don't think celebrity status really matters, entertainment values often come from the unexpected/unknown hms, they have nothing to lose.
I'm quite disappointed with the (dull?) UK recruit, but I hope I'm wrong.

It's certainly not lineup of the century especially compared to last season with characters like Perez and Katie Hopkins. Hopefully some psychological manipulation by big brother can make up for it. I liked the part exclusion thing. Good start.

Not many huge names but I know of them and there doesn't seem to be many dullards in the line up. At this point I think it's going to be a good lineup.

On paper it's a very poor and cheap line up, however give them a chance they may provide a decent series (you never know). Superstars don't always make the best housemates.

This James from the apprentice is no star but on the apprentice he was a good character and good characters is what this show is all about.

This topic really gets to me and aggravates me. Imagine if we had your dream line-up. For arguments sake lets say we had the likes of Will Smith, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Obama, whatever, do you honestly thing they're going to do anything to risk their reputation when right now they're at the peak of their celebrity status? Also why on earth would they be even doing CBB and risk their reputation in the first place? These HMs may not be hugely famous (as an American I still have heard of 4 of them) but they do bring the entertainment value and have the potential to make this the best summer CBB C5 has ever had.
