Channel 5 statement.

A Channel 5 spokesman said: “Unfortunately, Channel 5 and Endemol did not know about the views and attitudes Tila had expressed in social media postings prior to her involvement in Celebrity Big Brother. When they were brought to our attention, she was called to the Diary Room for a discussion with producers and was subsequently removed from the house. The views Tila had expressed, and permitted to remain uncorrected, are totally unacceptable and, accordingly, her continued involvement in the programme was untenable.”

Glamour model Tila Tequila has reportedly been kicked off Big Brother after it emerged that she posed in front of Auschwitz in Nazi gear and claimed to be 'Hitler reborn'.

Hundreds of viewers and campaigners complained about the controversial American star who has previously praised the German dictator and referred to herself as 'Hitila'.

Producers decided to remove the TV host, who is best-known for her bisexual-themed dating show, after Hitler was discussed in the house, according to TMZ.

It has also been reported that the 33-year-old will not receive her Ģ113,000 payout from the show.

Tila sparked outrage in December 2013 when she photoshopped a picture of herself standing in front of Auschwitz concentration camp in a SS uniform cap and red swastika armband.

The glamour model, who entered the Celebrity Big Brother house last night, has been slammed for her extremist and anti-Semitic posts in which she describes Hitler as a 'special and sweet kid'.

Her Facebook profile has been temporarily suspended at least eight times by the social network for a series of offensive posts.

The Campaign against Anti-Semitism launched an online petition calling for Tila to be removed from the Channel 5 show which has attracted 280 signatures.

Jonathan Sacerdoti, direction of communications at the campaign group, said: 'The British public has little time for attention seeking Nazi sympathisers like 'Tila Tequila'.

'Channel 5 and Endemol Shine UK ought to be ashamed of themselves for promoting such a deeply offensive and nasty person on prime time television.

'Her repulsive writings on Hitler, the Holocaust and on Jewish people make her a totally unacceptable participant for this programme.

'Channel 5 ought to remove her immediately from the programme, and apologise fully for their enormous error of judgement. She should then be given the exact amount of public attention as she deserves: none.'

Hundreds have also taken to social media to blast the decision to let Tila on the show, with many saying that she should never have passed the initial vetting process.

Annabel richardson ‏said: 'Has everyone conveniently forgotten that Tila Tequila is a nazi sympathiser? #CBBUK.'

Gary Doyle ‏said: 'Quick reminder of when #TilaTequila dressed up like a Nazi and posted 'Why I Sympathize with Hitler: Part I' #CBBUK.'

Channel 5 is now investigating the comments and said producers were unaware of these remarks before she entered the house.

The model first gained fame on her bisexual-themed dating show, A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila

Tila, who first gained fame on her bisexual-themed dating show, has strongly denied that she is anti-semitic and in 2012 she said she was considering converting to Judaism.

But in a series of online postings, including a blog entitled 'Why I sympathise with Hitler Part 1', she described the Nazi leader as a 'good man' who deserved forgiveness.

She said: 'He was not a bad person as they have painted him out to be. Not even close!!!

'Hitler was a good man and it takes some *********g balls for someone to say this out loud in this day and age, especially for a public figure like myself.'

She sparked outrage by saying that the Holocaust, which claimed the lives of six million Jews, was just a side effect of war.

In one post she said: 'I am not going to sit here and say that I hate Jewish people because that is not the case nor is this about Jews.

'Here is a man who was not a coward, stood up for his country in a desperate time of need… and yet not only did he try his best to help his country and people get out of what was a time of depression, economic collapse, high unemploymeny.

'He lost the war and was painted out to be a monster after his death. This is what breaks my heart.'

She has continuously presented the German dictator as a victim and even blamed his actions on being rejected from art school.

The model, whose real name is Thien Thanh Thi Nguyen, said: 'Once upon a time in a land far away there was a special and sweet kid who had a dream to become a painter.

'He was a brilliant artist and was ahead of his time. He had hopes, and dreams just like we all do.

'Unfortunately, the art schools did not feel the same as he and they rejected him. Fast forward a few years later he was roughed up and bullied on top of that by the same people he once loved. His Name was Hitler.'

She then compared herself to Hitler, saying: '[The Jews] mocked her, rejected her and laughed at her through and through when all she ever did was show them her love.'

She entered the house last night and is set to strip down to her pants during tonight's episode.

In a preview for the episode she was seen making her fellow Housemate, former Apprentice star James Hill, blush as she unzipped her jeans and flashed her white thong.

Tila, who is best-known for her TV show, A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila, said: 'You Brit boys could never handle me.'

Before entering the house she said she would love to be a 'dominant' force.

A spokesman for Channel 5 said: 'These comments did not come to the attention of Channel 5 or Endemol prior to the housemate's entry into the CBB house.

'We are currently investigating these comments.'

If she mentioned it in the house then yes, if not they should of talked to her and her agency about it (maybe they did idk but if she didn't mention it and they just chucked her out then no it's not fair there should have been more talks

No. Tila is well known to have mental health issues in the past and she wrote this in 2013 not yesterday so how do they know she still thinks this way? A terrible decision on the part of production who look amateur in their lack of research and look stupid for expelling someone who has broken no rules.

****ing idiots. Half of their C5 housemates have had shady pasts. It's absurd.

I never judge on ejections until we've seen what happens (not that I imagine we will in this case). I've no idea what's going on anyway.

Because it is the glue that binds us...
But yeah, production are bloody hopeless

Definitely not. This was a long time ago and she wasn't metally stable when she wrote this so they can't know whether she still holds these viewpoints are not (she done nothing to indicate that she does).

If she said she supported Hitler in the house then I'd understand but this is based on something which happened a couple of years ago which production should have already known about before choosing her to enter the house

No. She just shouldn't have been cast. It's an embarrassing PR stunt at best and hideously uninformed and irresponsible at worst.

Yes of course it was the right thing to do. Once people stop being so emotional about it in their hearts they know she had to go. They were idiots putting her in there to start with.

No if it's true that they didn't know about the Nazi stuff beforehand (which I don't believe) then it's their fault for having such an incompetent casting team who don't even check the Wikipedia page of the contestants they pay Ģ100,000+ for.

Oh come on, they didn't know!? Even I knew about it! Honestly C5 are a waste of time. Biggest joke out there as a channel.

That article says that Hitler was discussed in the house. If that's true then they were right to remove her but not if it was something that happened years ago. I'll wait and see before I make a judgement, that's if they show/tell us at all.

From what I've seen, yes. She is a nazi and she shouldn't have been put there in the first place. I don't know the whole story but if she isn't conceding and if she is adamant that she still has anti-semitic views then yeah, chuck her out

Saying that, they've brought enough homophobes in. Their hazy lines are their downfall.

Calderyon

I donīt believe they didnīt know about it.

And even if they did, housemates should be essentially judged in terms of punishing them, for what they do inside the house, instead of what has happened outside.

Absolutely not. It is not illegal to praise Hitler. I am opposed to the removal of any housemates for comments, no matter how controversial.

I mean, I've expressed before that I thought it was pretty irresponsible to cast Tila in the first place, but, like, Jim Davidson is a winner of Celebrity Big Brother. Katie Hopkins was this close to being a winner of Celebrity Big Brother.

George Galloway was a Stalinist. Why don't you mention that? Or is being a mass murderer fine if you are a Communist of some sort?

If she said something pro-nazi in the house then she should be removed but since this controversy is because of old posts from her crazy days then it's purely the production team's fault for casting her and they should be removed from their jobs for such a tacky publicity stunt.

This really, I don't think any HM should be judged on past indiscretions, and I think this is a publicity stunt, of course they knew ::umm2:

This is on the Campaign Against Antisemitism website...

All too often, antisemites and those who commit hate crime go unpunished by the law. Sometimes this is because those entrusted with enforcing the law do not realise that the law has been breached. Antisemitism is known as “the oldest hatred” and some aspects of antisemitism are only obvious to those who know something of Jewish history. In addition, antisemitism is the only form of racism that can be disguised as hatred for a state, Israel. Our team of volunteer lawyers provides guidance on specific cases and holds the authorities and private companies to account when they fail to act against antisemitism effectively.

I wonder how those whose hearts bleed for Palestianians and who are critical of Israel feel about that line.

I think it's perfectly fine to judge people based on their prior actions on a show like this because, like, that's entirely why they were cast in the first place. I just think it's laughable for them to pretend like they didn't know what they were getting themselves into with Tila and act like they have an issue with it. Like I said, this is a show that actively championed Jim Davidson and Katie Hopkins. If it was something less racy than Nazi jargon and if it was someone with a slightly more broad appeal than Tila (like a Bobby Davro or James Hill), you know that the show would already be starting their redemption story. This show has reached the point where having a resume full of hateful bile is actually a huge advantage so I think it's just silly to get rid of Tila when she fits the bill.
