Im sorry that's one of my fav films and any straight man I beg you to see it (you will thank me later) but I never knew she "wrote" it.
Cant be arsed to Google if its true but I doubt she did seeing as its about her being the worlds 1st super model and Janice allways claims to be that?
My god live feed has been amazing these last few nights.

I think she meant it's partially based on her. which makes sense.

No GIA is not "partially based" on anyone other than GIA.
Janice said she wrote it GIA was a real person who died of AIDS in the 80's its an autobiographical film and not any way about Janice.....Janice isn't even mentioned.
Like I said why would it talk of GIA being the worlds first super model when Janice so proudly claims that as her title?
Seriously I have the blu ray and Janice is nowhere to be mentioned and she certainly isn't credited as a writer, producer or even the lowest of the extras on Wikipedia. Yet another bitch jumping on the "I had 50 friends die of AIDS in the 80's bandwagon".
Full of ****.

i think maybe Gia was copying Janice. Gia was a wanna-be Janice? Like how Gaga is a wanna-be Madonna. maybe that's what she means
i've never seen Gia, but maybe she was reductive.
Writers: Jay McInerney, Michael Cristofer

that explains it, Janice's pen name is Michael Christofer.
i can see the similarity ....

Get a grip haters. I've seen her interviews. Janice stated multiple times Gia is the first supermodel and that She (Janice) slipped into Gias spot after Gia passed away. She's told the switchblade story many times too. Regardless they are both gorgeous women working in a tough industry. Much respect.
