The Apprentice contestant James Hill has a criminal record after being convicted of assault.
The 27-year-old candidate, hoping to win a £250,000 investment from Lord Alan Sugar, was involved in two brawls with other men, The Sun reported.
One victim told the newspaper that Hill assaulted him after he spoke to his girlfriend back in 2008.
It is claimed that four months later Hill bit another man’s ear on Christmas Eve.
He was arrested and appeared before JPs in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, in March 2009 under his full name Anthony James Hill.
Hill admitted carrying out the two assaults and received an six month jail sentence suspended for 18 months. He was also ordered to pay a total of £500 compensation to his victims and £755 in costs.
A spokesperson for James Hill said: “James is not proud of what happened, he was young and irresponsible and very much regrets and has learned from his actions.”

Surely he should be ejected if Tila was ejected for her past? Especially that last paragraph, saying James is apologetic and regrets his decisions, therefore making it ok for him to do TV shows, but Tila is sorry and apologetic yet isn't given a second chance?
And this is an actual crime he committed, whereas Tila's was simply a controversial statement but not against the law.

Oh no, just a general comment on the shoddy non-excuses some people pull out. The fact is there is no excuse for it. Him changing and moving on from it is a different matter altogether (and if he feels genuine remorse and the others involved have forgiven him, I believe he should be able to).

that saying is silly though because we are humans, not leopards.
no-one knows exactly what happened during those brawls, and just because he was convicted doesn't mean justice was served

thing is though, just because someone was convicted of something, doesn't mean they did what they was accused of. trust me, the british justice system does fail. without evidence, i feel like i can't judge him for what it says he did.

well if he admitted to beating someone up for no reason, then that is a different story
but i haven't read that he admitted it or that it was for no reason (maybe i should do some reading about it though idk), the other person could have hit out first or something

No matter how much you like him, there's no point trying to make excuses for him because he's already admitted it himself, so end of discussion.

first of all, i don't like the fella, just because i'm defending him in this thread, doesn't mean i like him. just trying to get across to judgmental people that there is always two sides to a story. the discussion will end when both people in the discussion have nothing left to say, so don't be so rude.

It doesn't matter if they dealt the first hit at all, it doesn't change the fact that he assaulted them during the brawl. He committed a crime. If we take an extreme example, such as a man raping a women because she raped him first, does that make the man any less guilty of rape? Think about it.

you do realise "assaulted" can mean as little as throwing a drink at someone, poking someone, etc. ...right?
you probably don't know anyone who has been wrongly arrested/convicted, if you did maybe you would understand where i'm coming from. just because an article suggests justice was served, doesn't mean it was.
i'm not saying this dude is innocent, i don't know what happened and the article has no details about what happened. i'm just saying, it's best not to judge people by what you read about them. but from your "a leopard doesn't change it's spots" thing, i'm guessing you are the type to judge someone at the drop of a hat, so judge away.

I judged James based on something he did, and you judged me based on something I said, so we're both as bad as each other.
What else is ironic, is the fact that you're defending James even though you don't like him, and I'm prosecuting James even though I like him. :D

that is wrong, because actually you judged James on something he apparently did, where as i'm judging you on something you did actually 100% say.
i think more than defending james, i'm just trying to get across to people that there is always 2 sides to a story, because often people read something and think that that is exactly what happened, even if that isn't the case.

Talking about actual crimes - that would be the extermination of six million innocent people by a man whom the swastika sporting Tila referred to as 'good'.
James bit some dude's ear or hit some dude (which I'm not condoning) but how does that even compare with supporting a ****ing madman intent on destroying an entire race!!! Maybe it happened too long ago to care about...This s*** is just getting too much too read anymore....ffs!
