Aye, Leona.

Couldn't think of a more worthy winner for "Best British Single" [/sarcasm]

What for she is just a one hit wonder, a flash in the pan. She doesn't even have an album or a original song. She is just a cover singer. Can my old mum have a nomination I have heard her sing cover songs in the past?

What a sec I want one to for singing in the car!

I do think that if she proves herself worthy over the coming years, then she is entitled to a nomination, but to be honest, I don't think that she should have been nominated this year at all!

I agree, she was only in the charts for two weeks last year and she wouldn't have had a hit with her first song if it wasn't for the x-factor. It's a bit like giving nikki from Big Brother a nomination for best new TV personality a month after leaving the show.

Guess it goes to show what a waste of space the Brit awards are. Don't the people that win one die a slow death!

She released a cover in the 2nd to last week of the year..... no way should she have been nominated..... I bet she wins too

And they snub credible artists every year.

Robbie
Will Young

etc.

Yet, last year they nominated Shayne and this year Leona. :nono:

Actually "Best Single" was most probably done on the best selling singles of the year. So you can hardly blame the producers.

I'm guessing the GBP will be classed as racist and or sexist if she doesn't win.

The press would love it, if you close your eyes you can see the headlines that would appear in the gutter press.

TBH as much as I like her (but she has dissapeared has she)

i don't think she should win this..

1. It's a cover
2. The song isn't very good

I want to see more of Leona sometime soon!

I hope, even if she does become huge in America (which I REALLY hope she does), she doesn't neglect all her UK fans! So I'm looking forward to her releasing an amazing single, album etc. I don't want her to disappear like other X Factor contestants.

Apparently, she's scheduled to make a guest appearance on American Idol when they get down to the final 12. AI is a huge show in America.

Clive Davis is part of her management team isn't he?

With him involved she's heading for the top. He's Whitney Houston and Alicia key's manager and he's also involved with Justin Timberlake, Xtina and Kelly Clarkson. I think she's going to be around for a while.

Simon tried to launch Guy Sebastian's (Aussie Idol) career in America by shoving him on American Idol.

It didn't work.
