Stupid thing to say although he clearly never meant it literally

Had Janice said it though it would no doubt have been hilarious, slaying etc etc

No way, that's an extreme comment and tbh unless Janice says something like that I don't think you should say how people would react. I would react differently like it did with Farrah's homophobia

hit the nail on the head..people decide they like someone and then they can do no wrong but everyone else is a bully or a bore or needs to ejected. rather sad really

How bout if she spit on someone? or made a gesture like she was spitting on them? How would you react if someone did that to her?

Eject them!!! Bully!!! disgusting!!!! offensive!!!! Burn then at the stake!!!

i agree...so why the complaint about daniel comment ..not said to Janice..and certainly not literal as it highly unlikely he was plotting murder on camera

personally i think spitting in someones face is far worse then the comment not directed as an attack and not meant to be literal

Janice never spat in anyone's face though

personally i think making a gesture like you are spitting in someones face is far more insulting, offensive, aggressive and nasty then a comment not directed as an attack and not meant to be literal

Now i could'nt be 100% but.....Since he's on telly with cameras everywhere and thousands of people watching.....I don't think he meant it literally. Therefore in my humble opinion......Yes it was a joke.

Had a chance to watch back..the 2 were talking about how to conduct the rest of the task in liight of the difficulty Janice was causing..Daniel said "Keep your eye on the prize and when we get a chance we will cut her ********** throat"

Clearly the comment wasn't a literal threat of murder or physical violence, but it wasn't a ha ha joke. it was daniel saying 'lets finish this task and then we will deal with Janice.'

For those of you who see her as she is .. nasty, sour, self entitled and rude ... and still like her or find her entertaining ... Well everyone has different tastes. But It is so irritating to think that her supporter are already trying to paint her as a victim when she is such an unpleasant person who has already alienated her housemates.

Apparently this is the the way to win..be so unpleasant that your housemate responded negatively, fake a few seizures for sympathy, paint yourself as a victim and laugh at the gullibility of the public all the way to the finish line

Tila was removed for less!

Tila shouldn't have been allowed in the house with such extreme opinions that like 80% of the audience was never going to get behind no matter what.

And with Daniel it wasn't a nice comment, but don't you think that a warning would've sufficed? Plus he wasn't actually gonna do it so it's not as extreme as Tila's views at all.

I however thought that Tila once was in the house that she shouldn't have been thrown out either, but that's BB's incompetence I guess.

It's an unacceptable comment for anyone to say, I fully expect him to get a final warning for it.

You are doing the same thing. Making excuses for Daniel just because you don't like Janice. :hehe:
Janice can be nasty, but I think Farah and Jenna are nastier, so I prefer Janice out of the three. I find Janice quite funny, whereas I find Farah and Jenna obnoxious. It's just a matter of personal taste. If you find Janice that unpleasant, I take it you don't like Farah and Jenna either because they have been unpleasant many a time too. But if you do like them - fine - again, it's personal taste.

I'm not making Excuses for Daniel..I simply see no problem with the comment in the context it was used..it wasn't a threat and it wasn't uttered to her face where she might be shock, scared or offended. I have heard many a housemate make similar comment over the years "I'd like to kill him" "I'm going to smack her" that resulted in no uproar and no warning. the only possible argument you could use to flag it is inappropriate is "some of the viewing audience might be offended" and some of the audience is offended by everything. It is simply a non issue that Janice supports are trying to use to make her a victim

I don't like any of the 3 woman..i don't like Daniel Much. But i certain see no chance of Humor from Janice (unless you are the type of person who enjoys laughing at people)

Personal taste? yes...Like her if you want ... be entertained by her obnoxiously absurd behavior ...

my comment was not so much about people liking her it was about people starting to portray as a bullied victim ... she is anything but ... She is doing exactly a she pleases at the expense of her housemates. I don't find that endearing in the leaste.

Not something a HM should receive a warning for, he was using it figuratively and did not direct the comment to Janice directly, another storm in a teacup.

She's certainly not a victim - although I don't like the way Austin and Jenna yell at her. Screeching at someone isn't the way to get their co - operation. It only makes them more determined not to give in. :nono: Paul got more out of Janice by being diplomatic.
If I was in the house, I'd let her do her own thing and ignore her rather than get my y fronts in a twist because it's just playing into her hands. But those loud mouths love the drama of being put upon and offended far too much.

Of course it's not a literal threat, it's an expression.

If you tell someone they need to 'get a hold of themselves' you don't mean for them to actually grab themselves.

We all use these expressions all day long. Let's not lose perspective here.
