Police are investigating a series of threatening emails sent to Channel 4, targeting certain housemates.
Hertfordshire police have confirmed that two emails had been sent to Channel 4, threatening certain housemates, but wouldn’t reveal whether the emails were connected to claims of racism.
As was reported earlier, nearly 10,000 people have complained over claims that Shilpa has been the victim of racial abuse from several of other housemates. Channel 4 said in a statement that it did not tolerate bullying or racism in any way.

Well I hope everybody can take these issues at face value and use them for debate rather than physical assault or similar.
Racism is one thing, but violence is worse. If there is any point raising these issues in the Big Bro house, it should be for the public to discuss it and learn things from it, not for people to start getting hurt.

Anyone that carries out such threats deserves to be put in a dark damp cell for a long time. It's just a game show about how people interact in a social situations.
Just because they are on telly doesn't mean we know them. The house is an artificial social situation created by the producers to cause conflict. If it was all nice nice we wouldn't be watching. It's not a normal household.

Just shows how pathetic most of the people are. One alleged comment doesn't make someone a racist. These people are far worse and the media isn't helping blowing it into a big thing when it isn't.

I agree. They are despicable people, but sending death threats is way wrong.

I don't understand why has the bullying to Shilpa got Jo and the rest death threats, but the bulling of Suzie for Nikki, or the bullying of Aisleyne from Grace....whats the difference?
Just because Shilpa is of a different race, it's considered Racist, death threats are unacceptable, and forum members who have wished/posted/sent them need to grow up and make themselves hidden.
well how are we supposed to know why the bullying of Shilpa has lead to death threats to the bitchers?
I think its silly that someone has time on their hand to send out death threats. We don't need this

This is exactly what is wrong with it all you call Jade,Jo,Danielle the bitchers...isn't that coming down to their level and being a bully towards them?

I think that some people take things far to seriously!! come on why would you want to threaten someone for being ignorant?
Shipla would probably be horrified at this she is far to dignified to want this to happen. I hate it when people jump to defend without really trying to think about what the person involved would want. Opinion is one thing action is another and by writing viscious emails they have taken action :angel:

Now thats just really overreacting.
Can't forget that CH4 Edits stuff, they probably don't know just how much uproar its all caused, dislike them by all means, but death threats?

Wouldn't suprise me to finmd the "death threats" are a way to get sympathy - damage limitation.
the plain and simple fact is that £ndemol could and should have stepped in, but chose not to, instead they let it fester and blow up for the sake of ratings, publicity and £££££.

How can it be bullying when they have no knowledge of it? They dont know them or can even communicate with them.
It's a way of describing the way they behave rather than a direct insult.

Theres a considerable difference between each situation and its up to you to work it out. One case of bullying isnt the same as another case of bullying just because theyre both called 'bullying'.

True but insults where hurled at Suzie by Nikkie and Grace, she was made to feel intimidated, and even got a cup of water in her face.
