View Full Version : What animal are you most afraid of and why?
I want to find out what animal is the most terrifying to the people of TIBB. For me it's a close one with spiders which I detest but I think my biggest fear is snakes. I am petrified of them - not to the extent that I can't look at pictures of them but I'm really weary around films of them. For me, it's the way they strike, the fact that loads of them can ****ing kill you and the really ****ed up way they dislocate their jaws just to eat.
Release your animal phobias people - share :worship:

Definitely rats. Rats or crocodiles. I'm fine with the other conventional phobia animals.
We'd work as a married couple Lucas - you get rid of the spiders, I'll get rid of the crocodiles :clap1:
Crocodiles are understandable but what is it about mice and rats that you don't like?

They are just hairy and ugly and their tails creep me out and if they ever get into the house and make noises that's quite terrifying as well.

its just bugs I hate. I can deal with rats, mice, snakes, crocodiles etc, nothing like what would bother me. but any kind of bug freaks me out. i dont even know why
I'm not a massive fan of bugs in general either tbh - like ladybirds are alright but things like earwigs and CENTIPEDES OMG D:

Spiders.
I would have said snakes/reptiles but my bearded dragon will now crawl from my foot up onto my face and then set up camp on my head. I know he isn't a snake but he has changed my whole thought process of creatures like that.

I didn't realise I was petrified of rats until last week when one got into our kitchen behind the fridge and I had to try and get it out... omg, never again.
Mind you I don't like any sort of rodents and rabbits/guinea pigs because of their eyes how they're all black and ergh, makes me shiver.

Roaches. When I was vacuuming last week I found a death big one. Took me 20 minutes to pick it up and flush it. A lot of screaming and sweating.

When I was in Florida I saw some wild crocs/gators/whatever. They're the most unpleasant looking things I've ever seen.

I hate snakes, but I like lizards. Now I think of it, I'm okay with anything that has legs.

I've always disliked foxes.
Like, I get why people like them because they're not ugly, but I just hate how sly they look. And something about them scares the life out of me.

Snakes, without a doubt is my biggest phobia.
Weird thing is when I lived in Africa and saw hundreds of the beggars it didn't bother me, even after being bitten by one.
Slugs, worms and caterpillars as well, most things that crawl to be honest.
Centipede and millipedes don't bother me though. probably because they have all those little legs.

Ladybirds are Not alright :nono: I tolerate them, same as I have to Moths, butterflies, earwigs, beetles etc; because it is an irrational fear and I realise that, but they still make my stomach churn a little when round them. I am fine with spiders though.

In my case I'm just sacred of any animal that isn't big enough for me to just pick up and move without having to use a tub or some other form of storage to do so, but if it flies too, then no thank you I'm moving out, have the house.

Believe me, I actually do.
I can't even watch a cartoon version of one, if they decide to make adverts that feature a snake in them and I watch it not knowing, I end up having nightmares.
If I am ever stressed or overtired, hubby has to check my shòwer room and turn the bed quilt down to show me that there are no snakes lurking.
Sounds ridiculous but it's true.
I have always feared them, but it is now full blown phobia"
snakes, i was forced to hold one as a kid and recently i touched one and it almost bit me
not here for them at all
