Kenny absolutely sucks. His "revolutionary" strategy of pretending to be str8 was pointless and accomplished absolutely nothing. It was just a ploy for the cameras, and his "coming out" was somehow even more nauseating because he only did it to try to save face with the public once he found out that the First Five was hated. This is BBCanada and gay marriage had been legal in Canada for a decade at this point, there's no way that being gay would have shortchanged him on this show.

Furthermore, he tried to be a huge badass but was just incredibly whiny. He tried to hop onto the Paul vs. Andrew thing by screaming WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU, GROW UP DUDE and he thought he sounded all tough even though he was just a whiny drip in the background. When his whining actually got him into the forefront of an argument, he was flipping Ika off and telling her to shut her serpent-tongued mouth or whatever the **** like that means anything. He was just really pathetic all around. He said that Ika was ghetto trash, said that there's no point for Heather to be emotional over her letter from her boyfriend because they haven't been dating for that long, and he wanted to push Heather down the stairs when she made him a Have Not even though he was literally the only person to not be one yet. He's just a smug tryhard, like that time when Jon tried to make an alliance with him and Kenny answered him in THE most condescending way imaginable being all "WELL, you need to show me why I would want to work with you" and the muttering under his breath about how Jon was going home as soon as he left. I think Kenny was evicted that week anyway? :joker:

In conclusion, a beard is not a personality trait and it does not make you WACKY or INTERESTING. Kenny's personality still shone through and it was complete **** :)

Hmm interesting point. I guess you're right - from an obvious standpoint Aneal had nothing on Gary in terms of being flamboyant. That being said, the way in which he responded to certain situations, or the way in which he articulated himself, remained (in my opinion) within the confines of stereotypical gay casting on Big Brother. In turn, what was great about Kenny was that finally, they didn't let someone's sexuality identify them, in terms of character. At that point, he knew he was going home and saw no need to hide his sexuality for the game anymore. So, he wanted to be himself with his houseguests which is a great thing. I mean, if I was in the house I would've done the same thing. As someone who's quite similar to Kenny, I can see in my daily life how when I don't reveal my sexuality, there's a lot more I can get out of various situations. It sucks, but all Kenny was doing was catering to the sexist, homophobic and racist society we live in, by eliminating factors that could've subconsciously harmed his game.

I don't think a single gay contestant in the BBUSA style format has ever been voted out just on their sexuality though so that's why I never bought Kenny's excuse. I never watched the feeds but from what I've heard he wasn't as nice as the highlights made him out to be either and flipping the bird to Ika and being vile to her shows a fragment of this so I don't like him as a player/contestant etc :shrug:

Their reactions to the letters being shred showed a huge amount of entitlement, as did Kenny saying that he wanted to push Heather down the stairs bc she made him a Have Not and he was the only person to not be one yet. As for the criticism he gets for coming out, like I said I'm pretty sure he admitted himself that it was just to try to gain favor back with the public. It was a pointless storyline all around because this is Canada. Gay marriage was legal for a decade at this point, Gary was the face of BBCanada. It's not a big deal over there.

^ exactly. Sabrina had an amazing hate-to-love journey and all my Sabrina love comes from when she didn't have the numbers. And I don't really care much for Rachelle either way and I don't love Ika like a lot of people here do.

And it's not like I mainly hate Kenny for how he was towards Heather. I'm just using that as an example of his general whiny entitlement and nastiness.
