Audition Age and To all people who have auditioned this year... (merged)

I really want to audition this year, I'm 18 in march, thus meaning i am not 18 in time for the actual auditions. However I've recently come across a "press statement" and apart of a "press pack", (from this forum) suggesting that you have to be 18 at the start of the show, which is what it has been in previous years.

Just wondered if anyone can confirm this, i e-mailed channel 4 once already and they said 18 at time of audition, but having found this other information, and finding another email address, specific to big brother, I've tried contacting them again.

as long as your 18 when the actual big brother starts then i think thats ok because jenny from bb7 said once that she was only 17 when she auditioned but when she went in she was 18

Hiya - I can't recall the precise date but whilst waiting at the SECC there were notices regarding the date participants had to be 18 by and it was definitely before the broadcast start date. I think it was in March, but I'm afraid I can't be precise. Cheers

Well, I'm 18 12th march so hopefully I'm 18 in time. thanks for letting me know that :) If anyone else can let me know the date it would be much appreciated.

I thought they'd changed it, because the whole needing of a passport/driving licesense ID ONLY, was to stop underage people wasting time.

I'm 18 so I'll be calling in auditioning.

I'm going to have to decide soon what to do. Go to work and forget it or miss work, go to audition, and hope they let me audition.

Id much apreciate it if you have information for me that you reply to this post. Audition in birmingham is 8 days away and i must soon make a decision.

Did anyone else see these age limit signs at auditions saying the cut off was in march?

I heard, from someone on this forum, that in Glasgow there were signs saying at what point you must be 18 by to audition, it was supposedly some time in march. does anyone know the exact date?
