He didn't eat it though, did he.

I'm not a vegan, I eat meat raised for food, not wild animals that have been dragged out of a reserve, dazzled with a spotlight, shot with a crossbow, only wounded and then hunted for two days and nights before being finished off with a gun. The man's not even a good hunter. If he wants to go hunting and eat what he shoots that's an entirely different matter. But hunting for trophies is deplorable.

Sounds much more impressive and dignified than just sticking thousands of harmless chickens in a coop and killing them on an assembly line.

I guess we have different ideas of dignity though.

Dignity? Hunting an animal you've just wounded because you couldn't hit the side of a barn if you were locked inside? He was a protected, tracked animal from a reserve. The day lions are bred for meat we can continue this discussion if you like, make it a more level playing field.

Well, Big Brother has gotten pretty stale... This sounds like an excellent reality show. I'm not even 100% sure she's guilty I just think it sounds like a good watch. We could have Cheryl Cole next. Being hunted by Simon Cowell with a spear, and Louis Walsh in an Apache attack helicopter.

I don't get the point you're trying to make, he didn't eat the lion, it's not like he was starving so he shot and ate the first animal he saw -- he set out to kill it (and many other animals!) because to him that is his idea of fun. He's a pathetic little man that feels that he needs to kill big animals to make himself feel somewhat special. I hope he loses his business, friends, family (if he was a relative of mine, i'd disown him) and spends the rest of his life miserable. :)
And please, no-one bother replying to this post unless you agree with me, because quite frankly if you disagree that this man is a piece of **** then you're no better than him and I don't even want to converse with people like that.

This specific no one in particular has no problem with specific others who may or may not be branching out from other areas of the forum expressing any opinion. What this no one in particular objects to is others who may or may not be named, and may or may not be dolls and / or faces, entering into a debates sections and declaring "I don't want to have a debate about this".

Well OK, even if we do accept the forum as "Serious Debates, News, and Impotent Rage Rants for the Purposes of Venting Frustration", which I personally am all for because it makes good toilet reading, still... The way to do that would be to have the rant and then close the browser. Not tag on a caveat of "If you disagree then you are just as bad as him and probably have Simba in your basement as a sex slave, crying, bleeding, and secreting all over your vintage animal skin flooring."

That's not just saying that you, personally, don't want to engage in further debate: it's attempting to place a block on the debate itself. "You can't disagree, OR ELSE!"

"Do you ever read a sexy SD&N post and think, wow, that's the woman for me? Do you have to desperately try to stop yourself from obtaining the sexy member's IP address, contacting her ISP posing as a government agency to obtain her home address, travelling there, getting access to the house under the guise of needing to read the electricity meter, grabbing her, taping her hands, feet and mouth with duck tape, and then forcing her to live in your basement with Simba? Well then you need this book: How To Pick up Chix 2: TiBB edition."

I'd say the people who are using this man to spout their own malevolent self justified bile are worse than someone who simply disagrees with your opinion. As I said before, try him in a court of law or leave him be. People are just using him as an excuse to spew their bile at this point.

except it was africans that killed the lion wasn't it, the american thought it was perfectly legal and part of a conservation effort. he was told it was an old lion that was going to die soon anyway. he was lied to by the Africans. It was the Africans that did this and were profiting from it.

I think he was more talking about the fact that we wiped out wolves and bears in the UK, for the benefit of agriculture and animal husbandry... a major prerequisite in the development of things like supermarkets, funnily enough.

I get your point about it not being the Africans themselves killing dangerous animals though, but people travelling specifically to do it.

For me, personally, I do think it's all morally very murky, though what really grates on me is the decadence of spending that sort of money for this. The sort of money that would make a serious difference in a lot of people's lives - and this tit is spending it on something like this. It bothers me in the same way that I find it abhorrent that that Minaj creature "lost an £11,000 dress" - or rather, that she not only spent £11,000 on a dress in the first place, but also it meant so little that she wasn't watching it like a hawk.
