I haven't posted on here in a while, quite frankly because this series has been a complete bore so far and I haven't cared about anything enough to say much. But something has bothered me.. why is everyone making such a big deal?

I haven't witnessed any racism. Schoolgirl childish bullying and bitching perhaps, but we've had that in BB3, BB6, BB7 and in CBB4 with Jodie Marsh which IMO seemed much worse. Is it because Shilpa is a famous actress or is it because she's Indian.

Some of the comments said towards her were damn right ignorance, like about the food and the towel.. but it just seems like a culture shock. I mean, chucking bones down a toilet isn't a very smart thing to do, and neither is cooking a chicken for half an hour. Touching other peoples food isn't very nice either. NO i'm not excusing anyones behaviour, and I do really like Shilpa, but most of the stuff that has been said has been blown out of proportion by people that get their binoculars out to find something to be offended by. Does anyone feel the same bloody way?!??!?

Thanks

There has always been bullying in the BB house, but after all, they aren't children, and BB has never really been a nice place... that's the whole bloody point.

I hate watching bullying. Hate it.

There have been other examples of it in BB before, but this is the worst I can remember.

Well that's funny. Because almost the whole show is about 'bullying' in some way or another. From the baying crowd on eviction nights to BB forcing people to dress up and crawl around in gunge. It's what they sign for. I wish people would stop trying to take the moral high ground, it really is tiresome and pathetic.

So far I have seen: Heated exchanges and them being bitchy. Not nearly as bad as everybody is making out...

what is it then in your oppinion? people not liking someone, or just not getting along with her...
and since they got alot in common they are bonding together, and she obviously hasnt bonded with them much, and is distant, therefore they are a group of girls talking, in such a small and strange environment, they bound to talk bout the others, so they talk abnout her because she often does things that is worthy of being bitched about.

Talking about them is an understatement. They've said some nasty things. But it's always in BB. People just complain about it yet they still watch a programme that is pretty much about conflict, or should I say "Bullying"

If it's just a culture shock and nothing to be bothered about then why are Jermaine, Dirk and Cleo not getting in on the act.

It's bit more than you're making it out to be and, for me, it's the ignorance and uglyness that's at the heart of their reaction to Shilpa that makes it completely unacceptable.

Is it Racism? maybe - maybe not. It is, however, ignorance and intollerance and thats equally unacceptable. Why are they not trying to understand her culture instead of making snide remarks about it.

America and England are similar cultures. India is not. The girls have just got annoyed at Shilpa and have been nasty about her, and Jade thinks she's 'stuck up' I don't think it's because she's Indian.

"Completely unnacceptable" ermm? It happens every year, and you're giving them revenue by watching it/voting for it.

I agree that they should do this...

Its bullying. Its racism. Its intolerance. Its disgusting. Im just glad enough people have the balls to admit to it, so that it can be debated on a level playing field.

Absolutely. All these cries that a big deal is being made, is basically saying, dont debate. Dont debate, we're happy living in ignorance.

Shilpa was called 'the indian', what would you think if she said : 'all those english people' in a very negative way, like they did to her. They are bullying her about her culture, that is racism!!

Wow, I can't believe some don't see the comments made towards Shilpa racist. I am honestly embarassed by the housemates actions.
