There was a yougov poll which I saw recently which surprised me actually, showing that certain people would not vote for a leader if they were gay/jewish or a woman, things like that..

Vote for every option which applies. Would you still vote for a leader if they were... [insert poll option here]?

All I'm interested in is your politics and how best I feel you can represent me, my interests and the interests of those I'm concerned about.

I'd vote for a dustbin if it stood for what I believed in.

I don't care about the individual. If I agree with their policies and what they stand for then I'll vote for them.

No to older than 70 or younger than 30

I think it would be good for the country to have a black, Asian or a Muslim leader though

No to under 30 and I'd be dubious about over 70 because, let's face it, they all go a bit... Odd, in the end.

I personally would prefer someone non-religious, but it depends. If their politics is good and they can genuinely keep all of... that stuff... Completely at home and out of their professional life, then I guess it's their business.

Obvz have no issues on the grounds of race / gender / sexuality.

If you have good ideas and the means to see them through then I'll vote for you.

I'd vote for anyone, no matter what they were if I agreed with most of what they said.

If any of those options stops you from voting for someone then you don't deserve to be able to vote.

No.

I'd vote for someone who is fair and will do right for our country.

I'd also never vote for someone who is religious, that's just my opinion.

The only one that would make me uncomfortable is voting for a Muslim in charge.

I suppose if they was good at the job I'd do it, but ideologically I don't see me and a Muslim agreeing on Politics on average.

Some on here would not believe this, but I would not give a damn if a black Muslim became PM if he ticked all the right boxes.

I was born and bred in this great country (yes GREAT) and though it was then, and still is not, perfect, I grew up able to enjoy freedom and opportunity and a great deal of safety.

I brought my children into this world so that they could enjoy a similar life at a time when the world was changing for the worse but not to the degree it has now, and ANY politician whose policies are best for ME. MY LOVED ONES. AND THIS GREAT COUNTRY will have my VOTE - regardless of his/her colour, creed or politics.

Ditto for me as to that too.

I am actually rather surprised to see that someone over 70 would get less voting for them than the others.
Many people in their 70s have a younger outlook and sometimes more energy than some of those much younger than them, also they bring a whole lifetimes experiences with them too.

Winston Churchill was 70 when the war ended,he became PM again when he was 76 and went on to near 80 as Prime Minister.
