I think that Austin is the much better Housemate.

But I'm not into watching goody two shoes type of Housemates anyway personally.

I have to say Austin, you know exactly where you stand with Austin, whereas with James i wouldn't trust him as far as i could throw him!

They're my two least favourite housemates, but James is better than Austin because he might be a complete fake, but at least he's not a horrible c you next Tuesday like Austin.

James. He's as genuine as anyone would be in that house. He is too consistent to be putting on an act and it would be impossible to keep it up for 3 weeks. Going by what the HM's who live/lived with him think the majority of them really like him too.

People are now zoning in on James like vultures because he's the fave and a threat to their fave. Everything he does is scrutinized and criticized and he is found lacking. It happens every year coming up to the finish and we're all guilty of it. :hehe:

Even if James kicked a puppy right now I would still prefer him to that attention seeking Austin.

James is a salesman, he is selling himself to the public, and he is doing it rather well so far, but there is nothing genuine about him at all

Even salesmen don't work 24/7. He's a bit young to be so experienced that he could pull off a 3 week 24/7 sales stint.
No, he is too consistent with his values, opinions and actions to be fake. Who we see is basically him as he always is.

He wasn't that great a salesman on the Apprentice :hehe: - not sure if he is a salesman anyway - doesn't he own a restaurant or something?

What makes me think James is as genuine as anybody can be in the BB house, is his consistent views, opinions, actions, values. They all mesh, and aren't contradictory. An experienced actor couldn't even pull that off living so closely with so many other people because other people throw too many spanners in the works!

Yeah, whilst I would normally agree with that, I think in James case it's a different type of fake, he's not changing his whole personality as such, he's fake in that he uses people, fake people in real life do this too.

One minute he's telling Stevi that Chloe needs to learn to stand on her own feet, a week later she needs to be supported by Janice.

I would have had them equal until I saw James double standards as a so called friend.
I now think James has just used Austin all through the series for airtime,

Yeah, well it's all just opinions isn't it, because we're not in any of their heads. I don't think he's used anyone any more than the rest of them have. Austin could have been using James and not the other way around ; Jenna and Austin are using each other to bitch about James behind his back when previously they didn't even like each other; Jenna is using Austin and trying to turn him against James to get back at him for not saving her etc etc. We all perceive things differently. I seen him with Stevie and thought it was nice of him to give him a boost... Doesn't mean I'm right and you're wrong though obviously I prefer my version. :hehe:

Well she wasn't having any success standing on her own 2 feet a week later, but getting worse. If that's the only inconsistency you can come up with, it shows how consistent James is. :cheer2:

Austin.

At least Austin is genuine even if he is a prick at times. Whereas James only saved Janice because he knew it would make him even more popular with the public. He's a snake. I feel everything he does is to benefit himself and to make himself look good. Don't really trust him tbh.

Both are constantly playing for air time. Both are so tedious to listen to and watch that neither are deserving winners.

The viewers should be declared winners for putting up with such a load of rubbish from this edition of CBB

Well that's not true really, Austin has said numerous times throughout the series that he liked Jenna but disliked Farrah. I've never heard him say he didn't like her and they always got on well.

As for the rest of your post, absolutely it's just each persons on view of situations

Yes, now I think about it, you are right.
Jenna disliked him though, he was the first to be nommed when she was in the secret room and now that Austin and James are having problems, she is trying to drive the wedge in deeper.

It seems to me that Jenna is fiercely into the "Team" element of the show so I think she felt betrayed that Austin seemed happy that her and Farrah had been evicted which I think is why she nominated him that time. I still think she likes him though

Got to say, I am disappointed at him for his Austin nomination, but if you look at Austin's behaviour from a non friends point of view, he has been horrific this week.
