She has her own mind and she does not have to follow Jade but she stupidly chooses to as she seems to see Jade as some kind of great figure.

she was making snide remarks about Shipla way before she "was influenced by jade" when she was in the servants qtr's. she would often be filmed mocking shilpa's accent to dirk.
