View Full Version : Did Austin get a warning last night?

He sure changed his tune after he came out of the diary room. He was so full of hate, and then suddenly he's crying. Not saying its not genuine, but the turnaround was quick. :suspect:

There is alot of fake in that house Vanessa but Austin deserves an Oscar if his tears were not genuine

He should have got a warning ...IMHO I thought the tears were fake as hell, I don't buy that he's the least bit sorry.
Warning or not his actions on leaving the DR where I think genuine but the redemption is too little too late and later on when calm he still returned to the real issue James had nominated him.
Throughout this show its always been Austin and Jenna who have made the big deal about anyone who has dared to nominate them.I think most viewers can see this and are fed up with it.
I think what will hurt him even more than not winning is the probable negative crowd reaction he will receive when evicted.

Yep I agree, he was venting at Janice but only because he was hurt about James, his tears were to dig him out of the situation he was in.
James saying 'you're a good boy' when bobby was calming him down shows he's only placating Austin because he pities him.

I wanted to smack James for saying this, how condescending and patronizing of him:nono:

people like austin need to be constantly told that he's a good boy - he needs the attention - if he doesn't get it....well you saw last nights programme. Whether james likes him or not, whether james is playing a game or not - there is no excuse for what that lump of a bully did to a woman twice his age last night.

He didn't mean it like that, he was just trying to tell Austin he thinks he is a good person underneath.
TBH I'm a little shocked that so many people are more complacent about what was said to Janice. I think Austin should have received a warning.

he should have been kicked out the door.
Tears after behaving badly are the actions of a child. Austin is not a child and shouldn't be treated as one. His behaviour was out of order, and it looks like its pretty standard for him. No need for a warning, just make sure he goes tonight
Agreed - It's like a child who's been caught doing something. They cry because they've been caught.
Notice, as soon as he was talking to James afterwards, he started, in a passive way at first, to try to argue his point again.
Believe me, if the series went for another week, we'd see his head of steam build up again. He's a dangerous abuser waiting to find a victim.
Leave poor lovely James alone!!!!

He wants in James pants and it couldn't be more obvious. Why do you think he can't stay away from him?

He took the time to realise he had blown it, so turned the blame for his nastiness onto his dead brother and his Mam ,and it worked,he got cuddles and no doubt some public excusing his vile behaviour, he didn't fool me

He was no better than the likes of Helen Wood last night, a warning would have been deserved

I think he just realized what an utter prick he made himself look which was why he was eager to apologize once he left the DR.

The diary room segment was cut to shreds.
So we have no idea how long he took to calm down.
Even so, shouting and name calling doesn't deserve a warning.

No he got no warning and didn't warrant one either.
He has really been uptight for a while now since Chloe snubbed his Brothers mini memorial.
Clearly he has issues around that and his attitude possibly changed after coming out of the diary room, because thanks to BB, he had been able to get some of the smouldering baggage out in the diary room as to his issues.
I have seen many times where people have been really deep and smouldering and once they were able to explode and get some things said that were upsetting them or hurting them, were better for it.
His tears were also far more genuine and real than anything seen from Chloe in the house all series too, and maybe, 'just maybe', he still has unresolved issues that need to be addressed properly as to the loss of his Brother.

He didn't have access to water to splash on his face so those tears were definitely real. Common sense tbh

He has tried everything to get James on his side against Janice, cajoling arguing, name calling, obscenities, family shaming and down right nastiness but every time all he has done is drive James further away from being his friend.
Who wants a friend with Austins boundary pushing tendencies, no one is safe from his bitterness and abuse.
Then it is all poor me, my feelings are hurt, never mind the 60 year old woman hiding under the bedclothes to get away from him. Seeing he couldn't get the reaction he wanted he them turned on James and then the whole group.
Detestable cretinous man who is far worse than anyone he is blaming for hurting his precious feelings. No one has remarked about his family, his husband who he has been disloyal too by his attachment to James but hey, if you are disloyal to him, he shouts the walls down.

It is a mystery to me and will remain so long after this series as to where James suddenly cared about Chloe or Janice to be honest.
He just cowardly, in my view, wanted to get out of saving Jenna or Farrah so used both Chloe and Janice to justify his actions as to that in the saving decisions they had to make.
James for me ,I sadly say now, is not someone I would trust after that at all.
Niamh.

I don't see why he should get a warning tbh. I mean obviously it wasn't nice what he said to her but don't BB encourage arguments and drama in there? It's not against the rules to argue with someone now is it?

It was the sudden change in his attitude. One minute he's spouting hate about Janice, the next he's crying his eyes out.

From what I see, I would trust him complicity.
He is allowed to pick whoever he wants, it is up to him.
Austin has been behaving very badly and I would do the same as James has, tell him first, then if it continues, nominated him.
I would nominate James if he hadn't.
Be responsible for your own actions and views, don't be shouted down, don't be cajoled and don't be turned by abuse.
James has standards.

To calm down yes, but still not worthy of a warning imo eventhough I agree he was out of order. He did walk in on Janice talking about him though so that's what made him so angry.......eventhough he went too far

So? I see Helen and Austin as the same, even though Helen went on for longer I agree, but there's no difference in the things they said and the way they say it. Maybe it's because she's a women and because of her past people think it's okay to hate her more though.

Why would her being a woman make any difference? In fact it's probably the opposite usually, men are usually warned faster than women for this kind of thing. Helen was completely different, she went after and picked on people with no provocation, last night Austins rant was in reaction to walking into the room and realising Janice was bitching about him, yes it was a completely OTT reaction but a reaction none the less

I think it was bullying
Janice is a woman and much older
calling her a cnt and attacking her ability to be a mother is way beyond an argument
it was an assault

I agree. An argument isn't one sided - when he went off on Janice she didn't say a word back. She would have had every right to go to BB and kick up a huge fuss about it, yet she didn't. She has to be applauded for that. But Austin got off scott free.

It was not bullying, there's been on going tensions between both Janice and Austin for ages now. Don't forget Janice actually spat at Austin during one argument

I don't mind.
He's disgusting, I'm not surprised by what he sad and how he acted, I saw it coming from miles away - he has a massive chip on his shoulder and huge self-righteous ego.
Please don't fall to his "my brother and mom bla bla bla" justification speech in the dr, it has nothing to do with his shambolic behaviour, he's not a martyr. I'm afraid the GB public won;t understand it and send him a sympathy vote.

Didn't BB reveiw the footage and say she didn't spit at him? I could swear they told Austin that in the DR.

In that incident Janice was half hidden behind a door when he said she spat so nobody could really tell. Austin said she did, but BB told him in the DR they had looked at the footage and she didn't.
Maybe she sprayed saliva when she was shouting (yuck) and he thought she spat.

No, I distinctly remember one of the HMs saying, "Did she just spit at him" during the argument, I also remember Janice saying that she "made a spitting gesture at him"

Did she? Well whatever happened BB confirmed she didn't spit, so making a gesture would account for the confusion.

Yeah I'm 100% sure she said that. Are you 100% sure that Big brother confirmed that she didn't spit at him cos I'm searching and most of these articles say that Janice was warned for appearing to spit at Austin, which seems to me like they weren't sure

Austin shys away a bit so it looks like if she made the gesture he was expecting a spit on his face.
BB looked at the footage and said she didn't, so it's irrelevant now anyway.
