I only wish that it could be nearer the 200k mark, with western europe included in this deal. Doesn't feel fair that only those countries have to house these people.

it shows that rich arab countries, won't take them in, and the double standards, that socialist parties in the eu have pushed the voters too their backs, thatcher made a good point about europe, she said that they are weak and feeble, its no wonder that people are fed up in every country in europe, because they are the ones that will have too put up with it, not the mps, who live in their rich houses,

It's not only in Central and Eastern Europe, all the EU countries are participating apart from the UK. That article is saying that nine countries from central/eastern Europe voted against the agreement but have had it imposed on them anyway, though those countries will only take 10,000 between them
A lot of EU countries are not going to like this and will see it as bullying by Germany and France. It's a bold move to have a vote like this decided by majority and not unanimity.

lets get context ...uk take 20,000 but our population has risen by 3.7 million in 10 years already...Germanys population has fallen by 2 million in the same time....but germans have already broken their promise to take 800,000....the Saudis take hardly anyone
Will be interesting to see how France and Germany are going to implement this imposition on the countries that rejected the deal. I think its all propaganda personally.
If by some strange set of circumstances it happens, just wait until there is a deal like the Greece bail out that needs their approval, cause they won't get it.

We have promised to take refugees, why that can be equated with the free movement of eastern Europeans I don't know.

Google "Jordan refugees". You might be surprised. About 75% of Syrian refugees live in Jordan.
