HELP from anyone who was a teenager/adult in 90s

Me and my housemate were talking about shows we watched and started talking about X Files and Outer Limits. We then got on to trying to remember a show on itv (we think). It was usually on after 999 and was about weird stories that occurred in the uk. We can't remember what it is called.

It was quite a good program, but I don't like Aspel as a host, he always seems wooden and embarrassed at having to do the job. He was the same on his chat show.
