Is that a code name for Rylan?

I prefer Kenneth Williams.

If he's the responsible for #4IN4OUT and anything else BB16 related.

Good riddance.

But who else could come up with such original ideas as secret rooms and evictions without a public vote? </3

Not already.

I would say 'praying for a better one' but we just won't get a better one.

Creative producer, basically the guy who's been in charge of BB16 and this past series

Phil Edgar-Jones returning?

Jamie Sutcliffe's back?

Beetlejuice

They should sack the entire production team and pay that Jones fellow whatever they can to return. Or at least one of the earlier producers. These people clearly don't know what they're doing.

New blood may be good for the show!

I know it's started to feel a bit stale.

Denis was new blood - isn't pretty much every producer who comes and goes in C5 era? They've had loads.

Cal.

So yeah, wouldn't get any hopes up about new producers. The new one will probably be the next down from Denis.

Denis was new blood.

He's been involved with the show since 2006 - so hardly .

This is probably a good thing tbh. I had my doubts about him being promoted earlier in the year and they sort-of turned out to be correct. Timebomb was not a good series, but he kind-of redeemed himself with UK vs USA. I just hope that they do get someone new in who doesn't carry on the precident set by the past couple of drama-heavy series (Power Trip, Twisted Fairytale, Timebomb) but rather builds on the success of UK vs USA.

Old blood that can return it to being good is what's needed. The show isn't stale, it's just ****e.

That could work too but, as I'm in Australia, I don't know what the perception is of the show amongst the general public or the industry there.

Would past producers even want to return if the show was now seen as some kind of national joke, or if they felt it was beneath them?

Would C5 have enough money to give past producers to basically lure them back to help save what may be perceived as a sinking ship?

I'd say, if the show is perceived that way, any "saviour" producers would have all the bargaining power to name their price. Then it's up to C5 to decide if they can afford them.

This is now been 100% confirmed. Not only has he left the show, he's left Endemol Shine in it's entirety to join Buccaneer Media as head of unscripted programming.

Buccaneer Media, the indie set up by The Only Way Is Essex creator Tony Wood, has hired Big Brother creative director Denis O’Connor.

O’Connor will become head of unscripted programming and development at the indie, which was set up in 2013.

He joins from Endemol Shine indie Initial, where he is creative director of Channel 5’s Big Brother, as well as Big Brother’s Bit On The Side and Celebrity Big Brother.

Before becoming creative director, he exec produced the format for three years, including its final run on Channel 4 in 2010, and has also worked on shows including BBC1’s The Great British Weather and Channel 4’s Home for the Holidays.

Buccaneer Media produces Sky’s Desi Rascals and ITV’s forthcoming crime thriller Marcella, which is written by The Bridge creator Hans Rosenfeldt. It is also in development with a TV remake of feature film Robot Overlords.

“Marrying Denis’ experience on Big Brother with mine on The Only Way is Essex opens up some very interesting new ideas and I’m thrilled to be creating exciting new unscripted shows together,” said Wood.

“There’s an exciting new landscape for unscripted TV developing here in the UK and around the world and alongside a fantastic team I’m looking forward to creating innovative and compelling television,” added O’Connor.

Quite a lot of it - the creative director is pretty much the boss of the show.
