Well done to the team for putting on such an awesome series.
There were little things they did tonight which was very Channel 4 like the 2000 remix of the theme tune being played and the crowd were actually really good for once! It was like a celebration again.
I hate booing on Finale nights it ruins it but they all seemed to be having a ****ing good time would have loved to been there!
Hands down the best summer series ever!
Wonder how it will fair in tomorrows ratings it did get off to a shaky start with the cheap cannonball twist which sucked lol and I think that lost them a good 200k viewers but the rest of the show has had me hooked and for the first time in a long time im sad its over :(.
Great final 2 aswell I loved their friendship it was so refreshing to see a gay guy and a straight guy form such a close bond and not let the other housemates come between them like they were trying to at the start.
Its been awesome......Oh and thank **** Farrah wasn't there daft cow hope she gets one hefty fine and a nice little stay in wormwood scrubs lol. She followed me on Twitter today I was like erm excuse me please go away lol.
Did you all enjoy finale night?

It's been a while since I had a blast watching a finale, and I was sober. I feel like I should have low expectations for the Jan series because I doubt they can top this one. perfect casting, perfect top 2, perfect winner.
I felt the opposite, went to bed after the winner was announced because I wasn't even interested in Austin and James interviews.
I've never done that on a BB Finale night.

That's exactly what my daughter did:laugh:
I on the other hand thought it was a brilliant CBB the only thing i'm sad about is that Austin didn't win:(
But there's also a relief it's over, back to normality:spin:

V+ it ,watched 1st 4 evictions, switched off when I saw the last 2 placings, not for a long time had there been a more terrible final 2 ...Glad this series is over, one of the worst ones ever

I tuned in during Bobby's interview just to find out who the winner was. I stayed for Natasha's interview whilst I was doing the ironing and then went to bed after James was announced as the winner.
It was dull.

I did it too, went to bed after Natasha came in third. I just couldn't be bothered after Austin was still there after his dreadful outburst about Janice.

I saw none of it, I normally never miss a final but I lost interest last week really. I went the cinema instead.

Daniel lewis - I repeat all what you say - and to have cheers at the end of a series is proof for me we are all mostly happy.
I am so greatful clovie did not win as that would have finished CBB and BB off for me.
good post Daniel lewis.

I lost interest as soon as Natasha was evicted and those two idiots were in the top two, amazing series don't get me wrong, but it ended with such a piss poor result.

Really enjoyed the show and was very pleased with the outcome.
That said I always feel sad that the show is over and we're not going to see anymore of the housemate's stories.
Daniel.

Amazing series with the best winner and best final two ever
I thought the casting was pretty much dreadful this year. I really wanted to hear more from the likes of Sherrie, but in this current era of BB, its not deemed interesting unless it is high octane conflict and argument. There will need to be a serious turnround in the production values before I invest time in another series

I agree with the OP, it is the first one for a while now where I was gripped by the viewing, the interviews were really good and the result even better.
My preference was for Austin to win over James but to be told the vote was close, just a couple of percentage points between the 2 of them was good to hear.
I was throwing votes to both of them anyway.
I have to say even with the more volatile housemates, I have enjoyed this series bigtime.
Great result, the best final 2 for me as Daniel said, a well deserved winner in either and well done to James.
Really great series for me.

Nah, it didn't really feel like a final night at all to me. It just seemed like a mass eviction tbh. Average series imo but I do agree about the remix of the theme tune, that was great

I love the Final Firework Display
bigger than before
Both this summer's BB winners are from Yorkshire
Chloe and now James
Yorkshire proving it's still the greatest county in the country.

I enjoyed it eventhough I didn't want James to win but my favourite rarely wins anyway so not to worry! I think I enjoyed it more because my friend who hadn't watched in years (because she didn't have C5) watches again now since it's on Irish TV too so we spent the whole thing texting and having a running commentary which was more fun than the show itself

The final was okay. Not the best, but it certainly was an improvement on BB16's car-crash of a finale. Although I did find last night to be flat, but isn't that case with all C5 finals anyway? I mean they're hardly an event anymore.
The result and final three was good. A Natasha win would've been ideal for me. But I had no problems with James winning. Austin making it to runner-up was a pleasant surprise and the fact the vote was "close" makes me a bit happier. But yeah, a decent final with a good final 2/3 imo. Would've been better if it was on a Friday night though.
And the series best bits

Didnt like either of the final 2, but did like the format of the show. The interviewing/music etc. was all good. Even on bbots they seem to have injected some of the fun & laughter back into it, bots awards etc. In spite of all the nastiness it was definitely the best of the summer series.

I only watched Austin's interview and switched back to haunted. Another crap BB series by Ch5.

Erm no offence but I think its your life that's a bit dull.
If people didn't enjoy this series then im sorry guys its time you switched off for good because the producers really did a great job and it was a great series.
Its the same people every year now who only watch it out what seems to be loyalty to a show they once loved.....Why put yourselves through it? lol I and it seems most of the BB fandom thought it was a classic series.
Hats off to the producers and casting team.

Agreed the crowd and James actually gasped lol.
It was a polished seemless finale night and we haven't had one of those in years.
It really felt like an event and a lot of effort was put into it.
Personally im really greatful to the producers for putting on such a good show this whole series has been brilliant.
Also to the people saying it was all about conflict ect it really wasn't this series was extremely toned down edit wise and had the perfect mix of humour and conflict. Natasha jumping on James and Austins bed still cracks me up.
I am such a fan and a critic of the show so for me to be pleased with the whole series is a big deal lol.
it was okay, i wouldn't say classic.
Erm no offence but I think its your life that's a bit dull.
there's no need for this, it's her opinion and it's a tv show ffs

Maybe i worded it wrong but c'mon if your a fan of the show so much so you join a forum to discuss it then surely on finale night you should be breaking out the nibbles and a bottle of wine and not doing the ironing lol.
I wouldn't enjoy the final either if I was ironing! How are you supposed to get into something when your focused on folding and steaming?
you know this forum has way more things than a BB subforum, right? some people join for C&G...

I agree with you Dan, maybe because I was happy with the Top 3. I enjoyed the final more than usual. Brilliant atmosphere, positivity
Some finals are so sombre, the crowd actually were excited and the firework display was better than usual.
The crowd was good - the final 3 was good - the results were okay and I liked the little changes they made like the bigger fireworks/Emma walking into the eye studio to the person who had just been evicted/the theme remix. It reminded me of the BB16 launch which is the best live show on C5 imo, they made lots of changes and made it enjoyable and exciting.
Will.

The series really was amazing, producers did a great job, they finally listened and gave us a few rounds of normal noms.
I loved it, the final was great.
Best Summer CBB.
one of my top 3 CBB's.
The best series C5 have produced, imo - CBB15 and BB13 included.

Great finale, and quite a good series too. I wouldn't say it was an amazing series because it really wasn't, but it's one of the better C5 series, and I'd say the best summer CBB.
Quite a well produced series too. Although the shouting Marcus, overly edited 'previously' and 'coming up' sections, and cringey theme jargon still needs to be worked on in future!
I thought the launch show for this series was dire too. But they made it with with the final. For once a pretty good result too, feels like ages since we've had a worthy winner that's done something.

Not true I just defend myself against you because you allways accuse me of being negative about the show which isn't the case.
Infact this thread proves that.
Im not rude you just don't get my sense of humour all I was saying is how can you really enjoy or focus on the finale night when you're doing the ironing lol I can get rude if you want me to though here you go why don't you go **** yourself :)
