and thats from the HL programme, [now picked up by news agencies]

1. Did BB call Shilpa into the Diary Room for a talk about things

All things considered...if not why not ?

2. After Shilpa stated to Cleo she thought it was racist, did BB ask Shilpa in the DR if she thought the abuse had a racist element ?

If Not Why Not ?

3. If Shilpa has stated in the DR that she believed there was a racist element to her treatment, what action has BB taken ?

I suspect BB did not call Shilpa into the DR and ask her about this so that they can keep up the mantra that Shilpa has not complained.

That was exactly the same thing I was gonna ask, now that it came out.

SHILPA SAYS BB BULLYING IS RACIST

Celebrity Big Brother housemate Shilpa Shetty has said for the first time that she thinks she is being picked on because of where she comes from.

Yesterday, Channel 4 denied the actress was being bullied because she is Indian and said Shilpa hadn't mentioned "any concerns of racial abuse"".

Bit after another argument with Jade Goody, Shilpa told another housemate she thought it was because of her race.

More than 21,000 people have complained about the way Shilpa was beiing treated.

C4's argument that Shilpa hasn't complained about the racist element falls on its face when you consider it was made the same day that a highlight show has Shilpa saying she thinks it is racist.

The HL show covers the day before...

obviously C4 and Łndemol reckon the whole of the GBP is as dense as Jade and her lackeys

I wondered that too. BB had been saying that as Shilpa herself had not complained, they would not take action. Well surely they should be taking action now?

And why wasn't Jade called into the diary room and told to calm down during her rant? I Have seen people called into the diary room for far less aggressive behaviour than Jade displayed.

If you go down that road
you better like Political Debates.

Big Brother is a Mirror of some parts on the UK.

Trouble is this is mean't to be Celebrity Edition?

Putting Jade in was Endemols
big Error.

Endemols big error - I agree.

though you have to ask certain questions relating to why, and especially in relation to any easy interviews on eviction.

Davina, Dermot, Russel and jade all share the same agent. {as does Cleo]

If everything was above board Jades eviction interview would be bringing her to task for her bullying - but how can anyone trust Davina or any of the other presenters to do it ?

It won't happen unless Jades agent was to drop her.

This series of CBB has been Jades show from the getgo

Now Shilpa has stated and its included in last nights HL show that she thinks its racist, this utterly contradicts C4 and Łndemols statement of yesterday - when Łndemol at least knew of that footage [they must have, C4 wouldn't have necessarily known]

So have they acted on it
No
Has she been asked about that statement in the DR
the answer must be NO
If she had then by the statement yesterday : had she repeated it in the DR, Jade and Co would be gone.

Lastly, the statement said that there was "no overt racism"

Well theres god knows how many microphones and cameras in that house, so what about covert racism, at least as far as Shilpa is concerned - we have heard it and seen it. Even Jades "Chinga Chinga Wallah" comment was not included in the HL's, and anyone who has ever watched an episode of It Aint half Hot Mum can tell you, a wallah is an indian servant, overt or covert ?

As it was said outside of Shilpa's earshot you have to say covert - but not from the perspective of watching the show from the OS - from my perspective it was very overt

You are so right ^-
Shilpa has said her conerns that she feels Racism may be the case- BB are just counting their money and don't want to really question Shilpa as they DON'T want to take action!
Which is a disgrace, No wonder this has reached world wide, And other countries are becoming disgudted in Britian for taking this sort of behaviour without action!

what have the other newspapers to say today?

I agree now that Shilpa has voiced her concerns they should surely do something about it - she should not have to go into the diary room and say I want something done, we all heard it so why have they not acted.

The minute someone feels racially abused something should be done to tackle the issue

Also, Davina has shown over the last few series her utter inability to be impartial with HM's she doesn't like.

What about her interview with Shilpa ?

A single disparaging "funny" face, that we are oh so used to seeing - could be disastrous. A single snide comment that we are oh so used to hearing - after what has gone on could signal the end - in fact, if that was to happen, maybe it should. Finish her as well, reduced to daytime housekeeping shows.

She is not professional or skilled enough to do the interview job that is necessary to try and save this, Łndemol, if their production execs had a brain between them would outsource the post-eviction interviews to someone with a clue and give them carte blanche to ask real questions.

I think after all my quibble dribble, Shilpa now needs to stand up and be counted, and get her feelings out, make Jade feel small for a change.

but c'mon 21,000 people on the bandwagon this is getting all to suspect now.

Łndemol have cocked up with Jade, and they know they have, if they were going to send ex-hms in they should used people they knew were going to represent the show in a good light, housemates like Roberto, Kemal, Brian, Aisleyne and Pete.

Now that Shilpa has openly described she feels her treatment is down to racism , although I don't agree they are racist, I would still defo say something needs to be done, I'm not sure what , but it is not fair for anyone to feel that and I would hate to be in her position.

Last night I was disgraced , I have defended these girls, mainly Jade against racism, but I still agree their treatment is unfair - although I was sceptical whether it was bullying , I now agree it is and accept my mistake.

Jade went too far, if Shilpa was argueing back in the same manner that Jade was (insulting , and generally just not letting the subject go) then I wouldn't have been as appalled , but Jade would not stop even as Shilpa walked away (although the fact Jade wasn't getting a reaction out of her probably made her more angry), and especially as it was just over stock cube... she should of ended it when she was on the couch ... getting up and following her was un necassary....

I would have understood why Jade became angry over the "elocution lessons" comment, but Jade was more or less saying the same thing to Shilpa about her being a "princess" ..neither of them can help where they come from , so it is not fair to insult them because of it.

Jo and Danielle's bahaviour was nothing less than what I would have expected of them.... Jermaine was great for stepping in, if only Cleo /Dirk and Ian could have done the same.

^ Can I just correct you that because Jade is sooo think she thought Shilpa said 'Elocution' when she actually said 'Elequent'.

Well, I assume that legally Big Brother would be in Big Bother, if what they have already shown and defended was proven to be racist...

They would be in instant hot water with Ofcom, to whom their press release was targeted.

I know! Leona I was like, do you even know what you are saying? That just goes to show on live TV that those girls hear one thing but say something else altogether.

On last nights highlights 17/01/07 Shilpa herself has raised an important question, " Am I being picked on because I am Indian?"
And if Big Brother is monitering them, why at that point did they not call her in and clear it out for her?

Dirk said, "its not that. Even if you cooked for them, cleaned the toilet for them, they'll still treat you like that. She is a bully"
This is the 2nd person in the house to mention that Jade is a bully and she is bullying, so why have BB not called Shilpa in and help to clear this matter.

Whilst talking to Cleo Shilpa said "It is, it is racist" Why did Big Brother not call her in then and talk to her about what she feels and why and lastly Danielle saying "why doesn't she ****** off home" is racist.

C4 don't want to admit there was racism towards Shilpa but they said it might be bullying, so if a 2nd member of the house has noted it is bullying, what are they doing about it? Nothing. They are just watching the figures go up.
Its sick and its sad.
It was terrible seeing Danielle and Jo just laugh, I hope there comes a day in their life when they have no one to turn to. This was very insulting to watch. In all Shilpa kept her composure

Like someone else said Jade should have been called to the diary room and told off for her rude behaviour and threatening tone and now that Shilpa feels as though it's racially motivated they really have to do something or they will be going back on their word and that would be a disgrace and show them to have a hidden agenda.

If Shilpa or Jermaine were to make comments at one of the white housemates in there, then would that be considered racist & would there be as much of an uproar?
Somehow i doubt it very much as the P.C brigade in this rediculous country wouldnt allow there to be :nono:

I have a feeling that BB infact spoke to Jade at some point after
Danielle, and may be Jo and Jack too??Jade was talking about something later,as if she didn`t agree, and went on a bit of a late night rant about why she shouldn`t have to change or something.Judging by the calmness of the next morning, it looked as though they had all been thinking it through in the night.

They are both about the way in which you speak, so whichever she said my statement still stands.
