I know there is a thread about this somewhere but I couldn't find it so I'm making a new one.
So do you think people mistake your personality/humour online?
...yeah... that must be it...

I think people mistake my sarcasm and dryness for me being a bitch, when I'm honestly a lovely person
Glenn.

Same
Sometimes.
I find it works both ways though, some have a laugh and others don't know they are joking, others use it as an excuse to be horrible and then use 'it was a joke' as an excuse.

I'm afraid I'm going to need written proof.

Are you saying you have a sense of humour Glenn :worry:
That's a humourous comment btw

I think I'm quite dry, as I am in real life. I think it was harder not to be taken seriously when I first joined because nobody really knew my personality, but I think people know when I'm joking now.

I once saved a kitten from choking.

I'm full of surprises.
I'm extremely sarcastic and my humour is dryer than the Sahara. I've noticed a lot of things I say are misconstrued.

Putting your life at risk to save a cat makes a good person to me

I'm honestly a misunderstood chick, my sense of humour is harrowingly underrated!

Yes definitely, I've often misunderstood people and thought they were being awful when they weren't but it's gone the other way too and people have misconstrued me when I was just trying to amuse. It probably accounts for a fair percentage of the misunderstandings on here, shame really. Apart fr using bucketfuls of emoticons to show it's just humour there's little can be done. Just maybe ask the person if you're not sure, I will be doing. Although as Josy says, the cries of it was only a joke after the event does happen a lot too. It's hard to know the difference.

I think some people don't on here but irl or in private I'm really quite dark humoured- or so my friends say.. Maybe I'm just mental

Yeah, people probably think I'm Jim Davidson 2.0
I don't use humour in my posts on TIBBs as much as I used to or would like to because I know I am hard to read in a post. Away from the forum I am often told I am a very humouress person and quite often bring out the laughter in others. I think I pretty much get most Tibsters humour, it takes a while with some though.

Online and IRL I'm afraid.
It's like people can't handle paedophile jokes, sex jokes, death jokes, racist jokes like honkey or vanilla etc, and awful puns like willy be able to do the job?
