This is why we need to send troops in, rather than bomb. Not to kill people.. but to defend the vulnerable syrian children that are blackmailed into joining ISIS.

So you advocate our intervention with boots on the ground. But they're not to kill people.

I actually agree. We need to send our troops in, to wipe out ISIS completely. Far less innocent people will be killed. They should never have been taken out in the first place. At least not until everything was stable. I don't think just our troops should be involved. It should be a world effort thing.

Yes, but only to safeguard the civilians.

All of the 'interventions' we currently have are literally just euphemisms for bombing wrecklessly usually resulting in huge amounts of civilian death. There are better ways to do it.

I agree with you. I actually get really upset when I hear about what's happening in Syria because one of my best friends is an immigrant from there, he came over about 4 years ago, and from one day to the next he doesn't know if his family are alive or dead (only he was allowed to come because he's a student and it has something to do with what he's studying). When he finishes his studies he has to go back to god knows what! But anyway when I hear people say things like we should just drop loads of bombs and fingers crossed that solves the problem, no it won't solve the problem! It won't do anything about the root causes of things like isis. But it will destroy a lot of real people and families. Imagine it was your family living in syria and see if that changes your perspective. sorry for the rant lol!

Thank you for sharing. I honestly can't imagine how terrifying that would be, and the story puts further emphasis on just how dangerous these airstrikes are and the fact that so many syrians dont trust us really is telling.

Me too, even though I'm close to him I can only begin to imagine what it must really be like, but whenever he talks about his family I see in his eyes a fear and sadness that I can't explain. It's like a hopeless desperation. The human element to things like this gets ignored far too often, probably for political reasons

The tragic thing is, its not only IS that are using children. There are many reports suggesting that the Western Backed Free Syrian Army, the Nursa Front and the Kurdish Rebels are enlisting and training children and using them in suicide missions.

Your child could be enlisted regardless of what side your on.
