I've gone to the pub on my own, to watch the rugby and it's stuffed full of men. I nicked a mans table as well but he was ok with me, he's stood at the bar now and I got the table yay! Anyway getting sidetracked.
Would you go to the pub on your own under any circumstances? Would it bother you? Doesn't bother me. I'm gonna get drunk. Lol.

If I wanted to watch something I couldn't watch at home I would I suppose, not into any sports enough to want to go watch in a pub on my own though

Yes, I do do. Mind you, when I get there I know almost everyone so I'm never "on my own".

Sure I go to the pub a lot on my own, quite enjoy it. I can see why it would be a bit different for women though

a) Kate is NOT a woman - she's a 'drinker'.
b) The 'Rugby' is just a feeble excuse to go to the pub.
c) 'Half-Time' to Kate means 'Time' to get another 'Half' - of vodka.
d) The 'Full Time Result' to Kate means she is oblivious to any match score, and is now talking gibberish in the manner of her idol, Professor Stanley Unwin.
That girl is all man.
