Wow Marsh, sorry to hear this too. Did you sit with him and ask him, and did he reply and spend his money on you?

.....you may have waited but he'll never have those years when he missed out on someone pretty great...(have no idea who that would be though....)..

..I waited all my life for my guy...../corny...

He was never really a part of my life so I wasn't devastated. My step dad has been in my life since I was like 2 so I see him as my father.

Edited because I've just read Armand's other post so my question was redundant.

Yes, we have somewhat of a relationship at the moment. A very strained one.

:clap1: Aint it the truth. We try to have a relationship now but it's one hell of a strange one when you only know your Dad as an adult, if you know what I mean?

Like, with my mum because I've grown up with her around so it's completely different and there is a 'shorthand' between kids and parents that I don't think I'll have with him. Even if he's around for the next 20 years, he's still missed out on that childhood meaning it can't ever be the same really?

I'm babbling now. :joker:

Something such as this is never easy Marsh. I'm at the end of a PM mate if you ever feel like talking.
