Chanel No.5

Cerruti and Chanel No.19 are the two I have always worn, but I've been toying with other stuff... Stella McCartney's Lily, Estee Lauder's Bali Dream, for instance.

My absolute favourite cologne for men is Dior's Eau Sauvage. It's a classic and works with a well cut suit or jeans and a teeshirt.

Bullsh1t... or not? You decide...

Good morning Kirk.

Morning Liv.

I really do have some beautiful suits including a couple of Giorgio's but I was joking about the aftershave. I've loved good old Brut Original and Aramis for years and they suit my own body chemistry. There's a thing, I bet a lot of people do not realise that the same perfume/aftershave will smell different on different people, because of the wearer's individual body chemistry, no matter how subtle the difference is.

I am a mine of totally useless information, don'tcha think?

But if you did, it'd take you back to the last time you smelt it, right? I think smells are probably more evocative than anything else.

Definitely, I always find certain smells bring back forgotten memories.

I read somewhere that smells are actually the most powerful memory trigger

Wouldn't surprise me. I remember going back to my old school after I left uni. The Home Ec rooms were near the entrance and the smell of the place immediately whisked me back to the time i was at school.
