French train attack hero Spencer Stone was stabbed in Sacramento early Thursday
He is in stable condition after being repeatedly stabbed while trying to protect a friend
Initially police did not believe that Stone would be able to survive his injuries and began treating the case as a homicide
Stone was one of the three Americans who managed to take down a gunman as he opened fire on a Paris train this past August

One of the guys is on Dancing With The Stars (US Strictly), had he not signed on to do it he would've been at the Oregon community college shooting.
Starting to think they cheated Death Final Destination style.

It is weird, but I'm glad he wasn't there. We have enough ZEROS in this sad fecked up world, I'm all for these HEROES.

Wow, how unlucky to be caught up in two different incidents in the same year.

i don't think he's unlucky, i think he is just the type of person that throws himself into dangerous situations without thinking of his own safety.

Because the first time this guy nearly died, he stopped a terrorist attack from happening... Maybe some of his terrorist friends wanted to have him killed for stopping the attack? First thing that came to my head anyway.

Perfectly logical question to ponder given the circumstances Caitlyn - that was my first thought too.

The attacker should be described as a terrorist then, I doubt many ISIS terrorists see the inside of a mosque

Yes thank you Cherie.
Extremists such as these have pretty much been disowned from the muslim community, to the extent where to call them 'muslim' would no longer be appropriate. They don't want to be put under the same denominator.

religion will always spawn terrorists and ISIS wannabees because
being fake anyone can say "god told me" "this is what god wants"
because gods dont exist so there is no payback
only when we outlaw religion will this end
its as much a part of religion as baby jesus himself
This is an almost entirely separate story about a man who stepped in to stop a fight and protect his friends but this is Serious Debates & News so of course it's going to turn into a religion topic before it reaches page two

i would imagine 99% of people thought
extremist revenge attack?
the guy who he stopped the first time was a religionist who thought he was right and his god was on his side

I seriously doubt this had anything to do with muslims, this is America, not Europe...
It was probably just him defending friends, especially if there was a girl involved... some drunk assholes probably started in on one of his friends, or his girlfriend, and he was defending them. that's my guess.

LOL true... by the sounds of his injuries from the knife, he might wish we was shot instead...
it's horrible to make light of the situation though, i wish him all the best, he sounds like a good guy and very loyal to his friends. let's all hope he pulls through this.

Guys if it was in a bar, more than likely whoever stabbed him was drunk and trying to start a fight or thought he was going to be in one.
This isn't the movies.

I don't think it's that much of a coincidence, as has been said it's likely just that he's the sort of guy who will "step in" when trouble starts in any situation. Which is noble, yes, but will inevitably end in getting hurt sooner or later.

Well... yes, I agree with that. There's no denying that, LOL. But the new article didn't seem very clear and you have certain news companies/people who refuse to say terrorist these days, so you never know. all I was saying is that it wasnt unreasonable to assume that it was an act carried out by someone who wanted to finish the job of killing him off.

You're actually supposed to call them "people of terrifying origin" now. "Terrorist" is derogatory :nono:. Terror shaming, check your privilege.

I'm probably the most 'PC' person on here, but literally nobody is saying it's wrong to offend terrorists.. why do you think I prefer the term 'Daesh' to 'ISIS'?
(Daesh is actually an arabic swear that many muslims refer to ISIS as, because it's a way to mock the terrorists and apparently they hate the word. It means 'disunity' or something I cant remember the exact translation)

...yeah I think this really...I bet he's given his mum a few worries through his life...I hope he's ok...
..this has probably already been posted but some CCTV of the fight...
