I collect knives which I have removed from my back over the years and put there by people who I helped and trusted. I have quite a collection from 'my salad days, when I was green in judgment'.

Diaries that i have filled in since I was at uni. I also have a wee nursery rhyme book that i write in on the pages once or twice a year with a date and what is going on and have been doing that in that book since I was 7.
I tend to find and buy and sell things that people collect. I reap from the dead and sell to the living...

I collect hares, Barbie dolls (my favourite, although not the most valuable, is Barbie & Ken as Mulder & Scully) and sweetheart brooches (military cap badges made into brooches for servicemen's sweethearts in WW1 & 2) although my collection is quite small at the moment.

I collect ex's. I'm getting pretty good at it too
Seriously tho I don't collect anything but when I was a kid I used to collect rocks and fossils and things like that. Whenever someone in the family went on holiday they'd bring me back a rock from that country. My aim was to have a little bit of each part of the world in my room. (But then I became a teenager and started collecting porn instead  ) My favourite thing I had was a fossilized sharks tooth. And I had a really nice white crystal type thing (I cant remember what it's called). But all of that stuff is in a box somewhere at my mums house now.
Do you collect anything Ammi?
Niamh.

I used to collect lots of things - from Military Buttons and Medals, Miners Lamps, Fossils, and Cigarette Cards, to Antique KEYS!
My most prized fossil was a huge ammonite which I found while holidaying at my aunt's in Bath as a kid. Do you know Liam, now you mention fossils, that I cannot even remember what I di with my collection - I just have no idea.
As for ex's  Don't worry about it; It's all part of Life's rich tapestry.:laugh:

Garden Gnomes
 They're so lovely and 'feel goody' There's a house around the corner from me, and the front and back gardens are absolutely crammed with every type of gnome you could imagine. The owner is an old lady and she's been in the newspapers etc for her obsession.

A neighbour of mine in London, an elderly gent, had a gnome cricket match going on in his front garden complete with little umpire. It was actually really cute.

I just would not have you down as a Barbie & Ken collector Liv. I more envisaged a subterannean 'Trophy Room' where the heads of your enemies were mounted on the walls  and in the corner was a padlocked trunk where you kept a 'Gimp'.
Now I have to reimagine you as secretly soft and oh so slightly little-girly vulnerable. :hehe:

People are often surprised to hear I collect Barbie dolls. They're all packed away in boxes, I promise I never play with them LOL...

Maybe they'll become fossilized wherever they are and in 100 years someone else will start their collection with them

I used to collect teddy bears..gave most of the soft cuddly ones away and gave everyone I really love a wooden one.
Wooden ones are my favourite but I ended up with far too many.
I collect Sam Toft art now, well, not originals but I do have a good few artist proofs, all signed by her own fair hand of course.
I don't mean to collect certain stuff, but if I like something I do tend to buy those things, like Teddy Bears although not so much these days as I have so many because as soon as someone knows you like something they latch onto it for easy Birthday or Christmas presents, although they don't realise that you like to choose your own stuff for your collection. I also like Owls and Angels and have a few of each of those mostly ceramics.
